Fantastic Upgrade
Pros: - Quiet - Fast - Cool - Excellent 1080p game play
Cons: - Doesn't make my breakfast?
Overall Review: So I almost didn't buy this because the reviews said it was a loud card. I have not heard it once so I don't I guess my case is "loud". The card heats up to about 75C while playing doom which will have the fans spinning at around 50% according to trixx. I literally cannot distinguish the Nitro fan noise from my case fans which was definitely not the case with my old HD7850. That card is LOUD.
Pros: Long, Reached my monitor across the room.
Cons: Works intermittently. Most of the time I just get green streaks across my screen.
Overall Review: If you have a monitor less than 1440x990 then you should be fine as the green lines I experienced were only at resolutions higher than that.
Great value NAS drive
Pros: *knock on wood* so far I have not had an Ironwolf drive fail in my NAS. Not even so much as 1 reallocated sector from the smart data.
Cons: They aren't cheaper?
Overall Review: I have not done any actual performance tests, but these keep up reading/writing with the limits of my gigabit network.
Quick and painless install
Pros: Absolutely no drivers/configuration was needed. This is literally plug and play (at least in Ubuntu Server 20.04).
Cons: I really wish this had a led header for hard drive activity. Not enough of a detriment to doc an egg, but it would be a nice to have.
Overall Review: Anyone needing more sata ports, or wanting to upgrade from their motherboards sata II connectors, you can't get much of a better deal than this card.
awesome router
Pros: slim, quiet, and perfect for a router. can boot from a usb drive and run without a hard drive installed.
Cons: The one internal fan had a bearing go bad after about a year, but I can't really complain about that, the replacement was cheap
Overall Review: I've had this thing running pfsense 24/7 for more than 2 years now and aside from the fan going bad, it's been rock solid.
Great heatsink
Pros: Keeps my cpu temps about 10C below the stock AMD heatsink. It's also very quiet.
Cons: tricky install, but that's with most, if not, all aftermarket heatsinks
Overall Review: After trying out the stock amd heatsink on my 6350, I couldn't stand the incredibly loud fan so I needed to upgrade without breaking the bank.
