Excellent HTPC board
Pros: Lots of SATA III ports, HDMI, USB 3.0, rock solid, 3 year warranty, etc.
Cons: None thus far.
Overall Review: This is my 5th Gigabyte motherboard and all have served me well. On a related note, I've also sold some to friends and have built hundreds of computers between two companies I've worked for in the past. Of those hundreds of boards (Gigabyte and ASUS mostly, but others as well) that passed through my hands, maybe 2 or 3 were DOA? I totally believe that people get DOA boards, but I'd be willing to bet that 50% of more of the complaints I see about motherboards are user error. Some I don't blame too much because maybe they're really trying and don't have spare parts to use for troubleshooting, but I know some people just don't really bother with troubleshooting and believe ESD is as real as the tooth fairy. Sorry, just had to get that out of my system. The moral of the story is, just remember that some reviews (here on Newegg and elsewhere) can be filtered out because people (despite what they say) may not have the tech knowledge they claim and the resources to provide proof positive evidence that something is indeed malfunctioning. P.S. Remember to update your BIOS. Sometimes that just gives you another feature or two, but sometimes it fixes that really annoying issue you can't figure out.
Excellent so far
Pros: Everything you'd expect: faster boot times over traditional platter-based drives, faster reads and writes, no noise (obviously), low power consumption, 10 year warranty, etc. I used this drive on a 1 year old system that I reloaded with Windows 10. No complaints so far.
Cons: More expensive than other SSDs of similar size, but it's new tech (3D-V-NAND... and has a 10 year warranty.
Overall Review: I'll update this review if the drive fails to meet my expectations, but I have high hopes that it won't.
Excellent
Pros: Everything. I've had this power supply for almost 6 years now and haven't had a single problem with it. It has been through multiple builds without issue. Thank you (JonnyGURU) for recommending it.
Cons: Nothing to see here.
Overall Review: Maybe people are just getting dumber, but when you look at the reviews for Corsair's older stuff and compare it to the new, it worries me.
