Great product!

Kava Kava Extract - 2 fl. oz (60 ml) by NOW
Kava Kava Extract - 2 fl. oz (60 ml) by NOW

Pros: Great product! I've previously purchased kava before and done my share of research and while I always enjoyed the product, I found it hard to make a drink or concoction that was ideal as filtering was always difficult and the flavor fairly unique and interesting. That said, this product is a GREAT way to explore and enjoy Kava. It's a tincture so it is alcohol based. I found it easy to mix with a variety of drinks.

Cons: Flavor. That's partly due to the way kava root tastes, but it can be masked.

Overall Review: Money well spent

Finally Dead after 2.5~ years

OCZ Agility 2 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-2AGTE120G

Pros: Fast! Was a great drive to buy in 2010..

Cons: Well, it died! Unfortunately, this drive has gone on to better days. Issues I'd had over the past year I attributed to a bad windows installation. I made the jump to windows 8 and the problems simply changed, and I did well to ignore them. After a while, I'd notice the PC would have restarted at random times when it should have been sleeping. Not long, instead of it being restarted, it'd be hung on a boot error screen. Bummer. It's been a good run, and thank

Overall Review: As Forrest Gump once said, "it happens". Well, he said something a little different than that, but colorful language is not needed on NewEgg. The drive worked fine for 2~ years and for those 2~ years, I honestly had no complaints with the drive. Minor things like a failure to start up properly and so on shouldn't have been overlooked by myself. THANKFULLY, this item carries a 3 year warranty, so my November 2010 purchase is at least covered by the factory warranty, and knowing that, I can't be terribly upset with the product. Also, it came with a really awesome sticker, and awesome stickers are something manufacturers just don't include enough with their products. Everything said, solid SSD while it was, and based on the 3 egg rating I see this drive currently having, I'm not the only one either who's had some problems. I currently need to figure out how to get this warranty process, which isn't terribly apparent on the OCZ website, so hopefully I can figure it out before the warranty is up in November. I'd give it 2.5 stars if there were the option to

Great.. when they're not broken

SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 1.0" Black 4GB MP3 Player SDMX18R-004GK-A57
SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 1.0" Black 4GB MP3 Player SDMX18R-004GK-A57

Pros: I've owned 3 Sansa Clip 1.0+ over the years. Small, expandable, has a built in clip which is a huge plus for me, and while not too feature heavy, I enjoyed the FM tuner at sporting events, even though it has a very limited range.

Cons: FM Tuner is weak. I've owned 3 of these; the first two have lasted well (until I lost one a month or two ago and broke the clip on the other last month). The third has lasted me only 3 weeks before it froze up and decided to not turn back on. I don't have much use for bricked MP3 players.

Overall Review: I won't be buying a 4th. I may consider a Zip Clip 1.1 , but I prefer the style of screen the Clip 1.0 has since it's easier to read in direct sunlight. Given that these were released nearly 6? years ago, I'm sure any still being sold as new already have some age to them, which can be bad for the battery. Very bummed about the death of my Sansa Clip because I'm a week away from being home and have lost my main source of music for my vacation, and for my running. Other-Other Thoughts: if you have a Sansa Clip that breaks/bricks up, it can possibly function as a micro sd card reader, which may be of some use to someone somewhere.

Solid card

MSI Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card R6950-2PM2D2GD5
MSI Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card R6950-2PM2D2GD5

Pros: 2gb, Ease of Setup, etc. I find this card to be well featured, it's able to run my eyefinity setup with fair settings at a resolution of 5760 x 1200 (+ Bezel compensation). It is quite an experience. I liked the minor details too, had protectors for all of the cards ports, which I've not really seen with recent cards I've bought, and I liked seeing that they took the extra care in packaging the card.

Cons: I wish it'd come with an active display port adapter. Would have been awesome if it were 4gb. Not really cons, more or less wishful thinking.

Overall Review: I'll probably get a 2nd and call it a day. I really don't see many faults with the card. I wish it performed a bit better in certain games (BC2 I have to use minimum 1X AA), but that really comes down to my resolution, which if lowered would yield better results.

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-6400
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-6400

Pros: Great price, reasonable speeds, incredible performance. I've got 4gbs of this in my box and it runs quite well.

Cons: Not the best ram timings out there, or what someone would want.

Overall Review: This is the 2nd 2gb I've bought and am just as happy with the 2nd 2gb as I was with the first. Great price selling point and reasonable speeds have made this memory a winner in my book. I'd consider something with better speeds when I switch to a different chipset

VisionTek Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card 900244

Pros: The card is a beast! Considering my system lacks a decent processor, it's able to handle quite a few games with settings/details turned up all the way. Definitely a good value for the price.

Cons: The stock fan speed. Everyone mentions it, and everyone is right. However, the fix is easy: 1. In Catalyst Control Center, unlock the overdrive settings by clicking teh key symbol on that tab. 2. Create and save a profile. 3. Find said profile (vista: yourusername/app data/local/ati/ace/profiles) and find the .xml file named after the profile you created 4. right click and edit that profile: you'll see where a line says "Property name="FanSpeedAlgorithm" value="automatic"; change automatic to manual two lines down you'll see: Feature name="FanSpeedPercentTarget_0" the line below it has a percent in it, that's the fan's target. changing that from 23 to... 40 or 55 isn't a bad idea. at 55%, it can start to get loud.

Overall Review: While the fan issue is sometimes a source of complaints, offering everything in an .xml file for easy editing is nice. I know some nvidia cards require a 3rd party program to be running all the time to edit the fan speeds. This helps you avoid that hassle. I've also created multiple profiles in relation to the speeds to give me some flexibility in how loud I want it running. Also, when you consider the recent lawsuit filed that said that video card manufacturers have deliberately kept card prices high, I find it hard to justify spending more than 300$ on a single card. Bang for buck, this is a great competitor to Nvidia's new GTX series, though those cards are probably worth a look as well. In all, great card, I couldn't be happier or more satisfied. Scored well in the 8000s on 3DMark06, which is good since I don't have that great of a system; AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ (old cpu) 2GB of Corsair XMS DDR2 800 + this radeon 4870
