HP Laptop Pavilion AMD Phenom II N830 4GB Memory 500GB HDD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 17.3" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit DV7-4060US

Pros: fast processor, great GPU, great RAM, quick hard drive, nice screen and touch pad. windows 7 is great

Cons: my subwoofer makes a horrible rattling noise... i don't know if its blown or something is just loose. i'm also having an issue with my video card... it keeps saying i have a mobility 4250 when its obviously a 5650. i've uninstalled the drivers twice and reinstalled the 5650 drivers. it will say i have a 5650 after i do that, but then the next time i restart the comp, it says i have a 4250 again. i dont know what the deal is. i also read that this had a backlit keyboard, but it doesn't.

Overall Review: overall, its a great laptop. i got it for 760 with free shipping but it looks like the price has gone up since i bought mine. for the price, you can't get much better than this

EVGA 123-YW-E175-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI FTW ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Motherboard has great features. Post codes are helpful

Cons: The motherboard has died. I purchased this through here back around 2009 so its only lasted about 4 years which is a shame. I rarely did any gaming with it, never overclocked it... the computer mainly was used for internet browsing. Im sad to say the motherboard is giving me a red light under the CPU fan connector after about 10 seconds of being on, then shuts itself off. I swapped in another CPU, same thing happened. I tried another power supply, same result. Im now using a different motherboard with the same CPU, PS, and GPU and its working fine so its definitely this motherboard. Electronics should last more than 4 years... and of course its out of the warranty period. Will not be buying another EVGA board!

Overall Review: Researched this issue and MANY people end up with this same issue with lots of EVGA boards. I always though EVGA was a decent brand? guess not
