Pros: Price for "beginner" type case is excellent. Mine arrived in perfect condition and very quickly via UPS

Cons: Mine quit after about an hour of operation. The setup software is cumbersome compared to Linksys.

Overall Review: Newegg issued a RMA but I don't plan to send it back as I don't think it is worth the cost of return shipping. Absolutely no problems with newegg - they will always be my source for computer parts.

Pros: Drive was very clean and Hard Disk Sentinel says it has no errors and projects its life as another year plus.

Cons: I don't trust this drive with important data. Hard Disk Sentinel reports on time of 1368 days 4 hours and 99 start/stops. I believe it was in server service and retired because near end of its life.

Overall Review: I have purchased refurb WD drives from newegg.com with far less hours than this one and had no problems with them. I guess it is a gamble with any electronic equipment. Had I not had Hard Drive Sentinel, I would have had no doubts about this one as it was sealed in an anti static envelope and as clean as any new drive I have ever had. I would probably gamble again if I had need for a drive.

Pros: I have been using this drive for about 2 weeks now with no trouble, however had I not read Howard J's 4 egg review, I would have been requesting RMA. I am using Windows 8.1 and experienced the same lockup he described with Acronis installed on the computer. I removed it completely and have had no more problems. Acronis did make a perfect clone of my OS and data.

Cons: The Acronis software that's bundled with this drive is not compatible with Windows 8.1. If you install it, only use it for cloning the drive, then uninstall it, otherwise it will freeze your computer once you start using the SSD. Specifically disable the "Acronis Nonstop Backup Service."

I didn't realize this item would be shipped from China and it did not arrive until January 6th. Was mailed in plastic envelope which allowed watch box to arrived crushed, although the watch apparently was not damaged. Instruction leaflet was in Chinese. Was not a good experience. This was a purchase from a newegg.com third party seller.

Classic example of getting what you pay for. Computer did boot to Windows 7 Pro, activated OK, and had 4G of memory although only 2G was advertised. Case was badly bent including the motherboard bowed. I am surprised it even operated. Case is so badly bent that top cover does not fit properly. There was no damage in shipping as the carton showed no signs of damage. I do not consider it a good buying experience. I knew it would not be new and there may be scratches, perhaps a small dent, but I did not think I would receive one with the case in this condition. I am not too happy with this purchase. Seller did ship very promptly and may be just a case of getting by in quality control.
