Amazing sound once properly set up

Cyber Snipa CSHSSO01 USB Connector Circumaural Sonar 5.1 Headset
Cyber Snipa CSHSSO01 USB Connector Circumaural Sonar 5.1 Headset

Pros: *Subs* The feature that really drew me to these headphones was the dedicated sub-woofers. I wasn't expecting much from them, since they are only 27mm, but they pack a punch. An explosion in a movie or a good hip-hop song with the volume up is all you need to get a good chatter in your teeth. These headphones literally vibrate - no exaggeration. *Microphone* I have made several Google Voice calls with this headset, and callers can hear me clearly. No distortion, echoing, popping noises, etc. *Comfort* Over the ear style headphones like this one are your best bet for comfort. Lots of padding, and no pressure on the ears. I regularly wear these for 3 hours or more and I usually forget I even have them on.

Cons: *Control Fob* The in line controls work as you would expect. My only complaint is the LED's they incorporated. They are quite bright in the dark, and blink when sound is being played. For some reason, the manufacturer thought we needed visual cues that sound was being pumped into our eardrums. Unnecessary and annoying. Electrical tape fixes this annoyance easily. *Surround Sound* So these are marketed as 5.1 surround sound headphones. Do they make you feel like you're in the middle of the movie? I didn't quite get that experience. There's an obvious attempt at it, but when compared to a traditional 5.1 home theater, it falls a little flat. There is a clear difference between center channel and front/rear, but I have a hard time discerning the front and rear channels apart. I used a 5.1 test DVD to verify channels.

Overall Review: Initial fine tuning of the equalizer is a must to get these to sound their best. Additionally, the driver included in the box caused stability issues on my Win 7 machine (freezes and slowdowns), so don't even bother with it. Go straight to the cyber snipa website and download the latest driver. That fixed the stability issues for me. Would I buy these again? Absolutely. They have amazing sound quality and comfort for the price, even though they aren't a viable replacement for a true 5.1 home theater setup. Highly recommended for those who can't get away with a loud sub in their living space (college dorm, apartments, etc.)

Kept temps cool but fan bearing failed

COOLER MASTER V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler Compatible with Intel 1366/1155/775 and AMD AM3/AM2+/AM2
COOLER MASTER V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler Compatible with Intel 1366/1155/775 and AMD AM3/AM2+/AM2

Pros: Excellent thermal properties - always keeps my overclocked i7 well below max temps. Also looks bada**.

Cons: The fan (although quiet) only has a sleeved bearing, meaning it will fail much sooner than a ball bearing fan will. Mine failed after a little over two years.

Overall Review: CoolerMaster refused to send me a replacement fan. I know I'm technically outside of the warranty period, but for such an expensive heatsink they could send me a $5 replacement fan.

Awful

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Newegg customer service.

Cons: No workey. No cross shipping for RMA means my new computer build is dead in the water for 2 weeks.

Overall Review: I purchased two of these drives to put in raid 0. One of them had the click of death. The other one wasn't fully recognized by the motherboard. it showed the drive name, but showed 0 size, 0 platters, etc. Later in the day after some troubleshooting, that drive stopped spinning up. 100% failure rate. Won't ever purchase a Samsung HDD again.

Chilly

ARCTIC MX-2 (4g) Carbon-Based Thermal Compound, Non-Electricity Conductive, Non-Capacitive
ARCTIC MX-2 (4g) Carbon-Based Thermal Compound, Non-Electricity Conductive, Non-Capacitive

Pros: Better heat transfer than the gunk the stock intel cooler comes with.

Cons: No free shipping when I got it.

Overall Review: Dropped load temps from ~91C to ~82C with the stock i7 930 heat sink after a couple days of cure time, so about a 9 degree improvement. Pretty impressive. Will eventually upgrade to an aftermarket heat sink so I can OC, and theres plenty of paste left over to take care of that and then some.

Click click click

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: None, but it could be used as a metronome...

Cons: Doesn't work.

Overall Review: DOA. Opened box, put in computer, and got the dreaded click click click. Requested an RMA. I have a feeling I'm going to regret going with Samsung. Shoulda stuck with the tried and true WD.

I-ROCKS KR-6820E-BK Black 104 Key USB Wired illuminated Backlit Gaming Keyboard (Orange LED)
I-ROCKS KR-6820E-BK Black 104 Key USB Wired illuminated Backlit Gaming Keyboard (Orange LED)

Pros: Lowest priced back-lit keyboard around. Anti-ghosting is nice for gaming. Small footprint.

Cons: Letter illumination isn't uniform when viewing the keyboard from an angle (like sitting at a desk). When viewed from above, it's perfectly uniform.

Overall Review: Just a tad too compact around the arrow keys for my liking. A little space around them would have been nice so I wouldn't have to look to make sure I have my fingers on the right keys. Back-light could be slightly brighter too.
