Quickly Impressed
Pros: Works very well. Stronger signal than anything else I have tried. Awesome configuration capabilities. Management tools work in Windows, Mac and Even Linux (which is what I am using).
Cons: POE is required, comes with an injector, but a minor PITA. Management tools may be overkill for a small setup. Need to have a machine designated to manage it. They appear to keep working when management machine is off, but I am not sure if they will stay working long-term w/o a management machine.
Overall Review: I have tried several netgear, linksys, ISP specific, and other wifi routers/access points. Most let me down and could not get strong signal in my 2 story house. One of these in the living room has VERY strong signal to every room. I bought 2 initially not realizing how well they worked. Now I have redundancy!
Would not recommend
Pros: The keyboard layout is nice, the feel of the keys is nice, and an integrated touch pad makes it seem ideal for a media machine that you need to control from the couch.
Cons: The range is terrible, 10 feet from the receiver which is in direct line of site and it still only registers half the time. When typing a password or url only half the keys register. When used infrequently the mouse will stop responding until a key is pressed, probably a power saving feature. The mouse is also jerky and sometimes goes berzerk
Overall Review: Not worth the trouble I have had to deal with. Turns movie time into frustrated yelling at the keyboard time.
Full linux support!
Pros: Works in linux (with HP proprietary software) * can scan from linux * can print from linux * can fax from linux All over wireless!
Cons: The touchscreen is kind of silly, very small, and not very responsive/sensitive. Some actions cause it to freeze for a short time. If not for the touchscreen this would be 5 stars
Overall Review: Pretty good, works on anything, very happy.
Check compatability
Pros: All the parts you need are built in, usb end, phone end, and hdmi end. Also the cable is nice and long.
Cons: Not their fault, but different phones have different needs. This works on older Samsung devices, but not the newer. I got this for my galaxy S4, but it will not work on the S4 or the s3. Not their fault or neweggs, I was stupid to not check this.
Overall Review: gave 4 stars cause when you have one of these for the right phone it is really nice.
Good, and cheap
Pros: Not Expensive, very fast. Good video playback and wireless speed.
Cons: No bluetooth, Uses a power adapter, does not charge via a usb port on the device (adapter plugs into usb power source though) Screen feels a tad loose, makes a very quiet creaking noise. If you enable the feature that turns wifi off on screen off, the wifi will not always come back on when the screen does, requiring a hard restart (won't shutdown when this happens).
Overall Review: I really like this tablet. I ordered it because I hate my phone (stratosphere), but can't afford to replace it right now. The tablet can do all the things my phone can't, and fast.
Good Linux support, annoying keyboard
Pros: In the afternoon after I received it I installed Gentoo Linux. This list all works in linux: Wifi, Video, Audio, HDMI audio, analog audio, raid (with dmraid) 1080p console resolution. The rest probably works as well, but I have not tested The system is very fast.
Cons: * Cd drive has no eject button, only software based eject above the keyboard. * The windows install came with a ton of bloat, I found it easier to wipe the drives first thing * Keyboard layout is annoying * Keys on keyboard need to be pressed in the center, sides can be pushed resulting in no keystroke
