Great Monitor for the money

HP 20" 60Hz IPS LCD Monitor, IPS Panel 7 ms D-Sub, DVI Pavilion 20xi
HP 20" 60Hz IPS LCD Monitor, IPS Panel 7 ms D-Sub, DVI Pavilion 20xi

Pros: Hands down the price makes this a hard bargain to pass up. Quality of the picture is good and it comes with a DVI M-DVI F and a VGA m -VGA F cable. Setup super easy and accomplished exactly what I had hoped to. Purchased a DVI - Mini DP cable to hook up my iMac and use it as a second monitor and using one of the included vga cables to hook up my PC laptop, the auto sensing feature knows which computer is on and switches to be the second display and if both computers are on I can manually select which computer uses the monitor. Can't be beat for the price and if you are looking to extend your desktop then this monitor is for you.

Cons: The picture is a little off in terms of colors, can probably get it pretty close to the Mac but will never be the same, doesn't bother me much and for what I paid for the monitor I can totally live with it.

Cable by any other name is still a cable

Nippon Labs MINIDP-DVI-3 3 ft. Mini DP DisplayPort Male to DVI Male Adapter Cable, White
Nippon Labs MINIDP-DVI-3 3 ft. Mini DP DisplayPort Male to DVI Male Adapter Cable, White

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Cheaply made - 1 of the 2 in my order was defective, not saying that 50% of the cables are defective but that in my case I got gypped because in order to get a replacement I have to ship back the defective cable at a personal shipping cost that nearly equals that of the original purchase price.

Overall Review: Bought two cables to hook up a new monitor to iMac to extend the desktop. I unboxed the first monitor and hooked it up and got nothing, monitor just went to sleep. I was thinking there was an issue with the iMac but found everything set right. Went for the next easy thing to test and changed the cable with other that I purchased and viola! Second cable worked fine which means the first cable is bad. Requested an RMA for the defective cable and the cost of shipping is almost that of the cable. Hmmm, seems a little unfair to have to pay to send back something that should just be thrown in the trash.
