Superior Scanner with some flaws

Pros: Fast reliable scanning. Does not jam and has few misfeeds. Software is good for setting Keywords on the PDF, which makes searching (Windows search) much easier. Outstanding hardware One button operation Compact when folded
Cons: USB 3.0 ports are finicky. Only works with certain motherboards/ports (Only Intel, AMD and one other manufacturer is supported,). You can use USB 2.0 in this case, so not a big deal, but the caveat should have been mentioned in the troubleshooting guide. I spent 4 hours trying to get the scanner to work, following their troubleshooting guide, until I found an obscure blurb on the Fujitsu website about USB 3.0 ports not being recognized. Other than that, it does not come with TWAIN drivers, so cannot scan directly from most applications. There are work-arounds (scan to a folder, etc.) but you lose some flexibility.
Overall Review: Included Software is good for the job - handles PDF Keywords well - Easy to assign Keywords and then file the document to a folder based on the Keyword. Could have had multiple hardware buttons that could have been mapped to different settings/profiles. Currently, you have to go to the system tray, find the manager application icon, switch profiles, and then scan. An improvement to the software should allow for "Separator Sheets" or Barcoded sheets to be included between multiple documents in a batch, and the software could automatically split the document when it finds the separator. This would allow easy batch scanning.
