Pretty impressive for such a budget card

MSI Radeon HD 3450 256MB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Graphics Card R3450-TD256H
MSI Radeon HD 3450 256MB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Graphics Card R3450-TD256H

Pros: No fans= completely silent. Has 256mb dedicated memory and can use up to 2gb shared system memory in vista (however, I don't see the point as this card wouldn't be able to use those 2gb very efficiently as its only a 64bit gpu). Way faster than my old x700 pro. Might be comparable to x800/ geforce 6800gs Has enough power to handle HD content to my 1080p HDTV. Plays CS 1.6 and CS:S perfectly! The only minimum requirement I had for this budget card.

Cons: Almost no accessories at all. No fan= heatsink too hot to touch and will probably limit OC factor. That doesn't matter to me though as I don't plan to OC such a low end card.

Overall Review: This card will be my stepping stone until I have enough cash to upgrade to a 8800gt. Current system: intel e2180 (soon to go quad) GA-EP45-ds3l OCZ 2x2gb ddr2-800 Seagate sata 320gb hdd antec 550w psu

Looks good at first

Rosewill - Black, Ultra High Gloss Finished Micro ATX Computer Case with 400W ATX 2.2 12V Power Supply - R363-M-BK
Rosewill - Black, Ultra High Gloss Finished Micro ATX Computer Case with 400W ATX 2.2 12V Power Supply - R363-M-BK

Pros: Cheap It was designed very well for a microATX case but the build quality just doesn't live up to its desgined. Good cooling, especially adding another 80mm fan to the front of the case. Good looking, used it for customers build

Cons: The Front bezel is not very durable, especially where the drive shields are. They flex very easily but don't return to their original spot, hence you'll probably get a pushed in look. The drive shield buttons are not very well designed, pushing in button will flex the front bezel. Flexing made made a very bad impression when I gave computer to customers.

Overall Review: I didn't use the included PSU, with the build quality of this case, I'm not going to trust the PSU. Used to house a q8300, 8gb ram, gigabyte microATX, Artic Cooler, 1TB Western Digital Black, ATI 4850, OCZ 600w PSU, LG HD-DVD/Blu-ray/DVD Burner. Overall cooling hasn't been any issue.

Seems cheap at first but...

Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, Blue LED Fan, Black Steel & Plastic - BLACKBONE
Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, Blue LED Fan, Black Steel & Plastic - BLACKBONE

Pros: *Everything is black, including inside of case. *Even include black screws and standoffs *4 front USB, 1x eSata, standard front audio *Space for front 120mm fan with foam to help keep dust out *Space for rear 120mm fan *Form over function looking *Good cooling and noise after replacing fans *Fits my large Cooler Master hyper 212 plus HSF

Cons: *Fans came with that broken/old fan rattling noise. Don't know if cause they were bad from factory or because newegg shipped the case in the product box instead of putting it in an additional case *parts of the case is really flimsy (bottom, front USB panel) but this is just a x<$40 case. The Front USB panel really bothers me because it moves a lot when plugging and unplugging USB devices.

Overall Review: Seams cheap and quality case at first but it really isn't that great. If I had just spend another 10, I could've got the Antec 300 that usually goes on sale or another 20 would've got me the Antec Illusionist version which has quality fans included. When it came, both my fans were broken. I had to spend $20 to buy two 120mm fans to replace the broken ones that it came with. One of the selling points for me was this case had two 120mm fans with it but having to spend more money to replace the fans made it cost more than a higher quality Antec case.

Quiet at first, clicks after 30 days

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: *Fastest (at time of purchase) 7200rpm hard drive. *Brought two to run RAID 0 and shortstroked. Performance is usually 240MB/s+ read, 200Mb/s write. *3 year standard warranty *quiet at first (read below)

Cons: *somewhat loud spinup (somewhat cool because a non-computer literate friend said it sounded like a computer turbo?? lol) *started clicking after just one month even though SMART data shows drive is fine. *already 2-8 relocated sectors after just one month on both drives :(

Overall Review: I've always used Seagate but their quality has really suffered in the past years + their customer service is horrible. WD's quality has really gone up and their CS is great. Never had a Samsung hdd before but I expect them to be the same or better than WD. Got this drive because of high performance and great reviews. I really hope that these drives will last a long time and Samsung's warranty department will be nice if something happens.

Memory is memory

OCZ SLI-Ready Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2N800SR4GK
OCZ SLI-Ready Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2N800SR4GK

Pros: Great price for 4gb of DDR2-800 memory. Doesn't have ultra low 3 CAS but the average user will not notice the difference between CAS 3 or CAS 5 when using any memory with a speed of DDR2-800 or greater.

Cons: none so far, hopes my rebate comes through

Overall Review: You won't be able to make use of all 4gb in 32bit XP or Vista. You can use the PAE extension but you won't notice the difference in performance at all. You can use 64bit Vista but then drivers are still not perfect. Pretty good from a year ago but still not perfect.

Good for ultra-buget builds

Intel Pentium E2180 - Pentium Allendale Dual-Core 2.0 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E2180
Intel Pentium E2180 - Pentium Allendale Dual-Core 2.0 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E2180

Pros: Faster than my 3.2ghz p4 when its running at its 2.0ghz stock speeds. Runs at 30c idle, 52c max load, ~36c average usage; when using my freezer 7 pro and Arctic Silver 5.

Cons: Only 1mb cache so even if you OC it as high as other chips, the cache will hold it back when comparing with applications that use that extra cache (video encoding, gaming) Early reviews report this cpu can usually OC to around 3ghz-3.6ghz but newer reviews report the newer batches don't OC as well as when it first came out even though they're still M0 steppings. Doesn't matter to me though, it seems fast enough just running stock with 4gb ddr2 ram.

Overall Review: Was really tempted to spend extra $60 and get e7200 or go C2Q for $200 but this will be my stepping stone until I get more money. Now after using this with 4gb in Vista 32bit, machine seems fast enough for all my basic tasks and the only reason for me to upgrade would be to satisfy my ego.
