ASUS RT-N66U Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router, DD-WRT Open Source support, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab

Pros: - Great Range, I get full signal at rought 50' through a wood floor and four or more walls (2.4 and 5Ghz N).
- Rock solid stability! I updated the firmware after purchasing the router and it's been running 24/7 for roughly 6 months without a reboot.
- Tons of bandwidth for LAN. I'm supporting one server and 10 client devices for file, app, and streaming media services without issue.
- Easy to use! It's true this router can get complicated if you leverage some of the more advanced networking features but for most purposes it just works.

Cons: - Slow when used as a file server with a external drive connected. No issue for me, I use a home server.

Other Thoughts: If you don't need AC and/or file services hosted from the router, and most people don't, this is the router to have. It was easy to setup, has great range, and is rock solid stable with the latest firmware.

Most important for me was range. I didn't want to run a complex, multi-router config at my house. Based on the routers I tried prevously I didn't think that would be possible. Anyway, I rolled the dice and this router has worked out perfectly!
