This review is from: Seagate STBD6000100 6TB 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Retail Kit
Pros: High Capacity drive that performs as expected.
Not a lot of heat and quiet.
Cons: Overpriced compared to 4 TB drives.
Price should go down the more you buy.
Technology is to new to guarantee reliability because it is based off writing to the same space twice after copying original data. Also makes writes slower.
Other Thoughts: You can buy 3 4 TB drives for around $123 dollars less depending on what day it is. This is no sale even with a code.
SSD's are coming down in price, take up less space, use less energy and are incredible fast so Seagate and others have to make higher capacity drives using a technology that slows down the write process and uses have the space already written to.
Unless you are in dire need of space then I would wait for a PROPER sale, shop around or till the price drops sharply.
Price per TB seems high when you want a 1TB, 2TB and 3TB then you have a reasonable 4TB then have to pay extra for a 6TB as if they are giving you a deal.
CPU's, Hard Drives and Memory are actually commodities and should go up and down based on market.
NEWEGG is not a store front where they have to pay for all the extras yet price as if they were Tiger Direct.
Believe me, they are still making money despite free shipping and handling.
This review is from: Cubot P9 Unlocled Smartphone - 5" Android 4.2 3G GPS 8MP Camera (White)
Pros: Android OS 4.2.2
Easily rooted with Framaroot-1.7.0
Has links to updates on manufacturers website.
Cons: I still need testing but some websites report problems with the GPS.
Minor scratches on the screen.
Having problems with one phone connecting to data with T-Mobile, the second one is OK.
I have a US Address yet they send me USB adapters for Germany/Europe.
Other Thoughts: So far so good this is an upgrade from the Blu Studio 5.3 II which there is absolutely no support from Blu and now no sound comes out the phone.
Being these come direct from China it would be cheaper to just buy them direct if your willing to take the chance. I use Newegg because they backup their promises.
This review is from: Blu Studio 5.3II D550i Black Dual-Core 1.0GHz Unlocked Dual SIM Cell Phone
Pros: Android Device Jellybean 4,2, good battery life.
What can I say, it's Jelly Bean which at the time of this writing is the latest version. No bloatware and no problems activating it on T-Mobiles network.
Cons: Can not Root at this time and no alternative Firmware.
No matter what setting the screen will go dim in about 10 seconds unless you touch it no matter what your doing.
Camera is like every other Android Camera, lacking of character and sloppy.
Music skips to next track without provocation.
Constantly shuts off Sim Card and asks me if I want to restart it.
Changes Audio profile randomly.
Re adds duplicate contacts after I delete them.
Larger than normal screen which I thought I could use Samsung Note accessories but Camera is different so I have to buy a specialty case.
Touch screen is choppy at times
Blu, from what I can tell, has zero support for their products and their website has been dormant since I have known of them. No updates or fixes for this phone.
Other Thoughts: Some of these issues I suspect are from Android Software which I find annoying and not doing the simplest of jobs.
Other than the price I find no reason to buy Blu products until they support them like any other smartphone company.
Some manufacturers place restrictions on how details of their products may be communicated.
