Klipsch Synergy KSW12 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer

5 out of 5 eggs Good Value 10/29/2015

This review is from: Klipsch Synergy KSW12 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer

Pros: Price. Does the job. At this price point I believe you would be hard pressed to find a better sub. I was worried about reviews about reliability and I have run it straight for 72 hours and no shut down or blown fuses. Not sure if this is a pro but this is NOT the original KSW12. This ONLY has two RCA inputs, nothing else. Could be why the price is lower now. Not a problem for me since I only use LFE. The receiver I'm using is only 110W (continuous) driving a 7.1 setup with tower speakers up front. This sub fills the void below 80 hz for me and does the job and keeps up with the rest of the system. Works fine for music and home theater. Without taking it apart, it appears to be well built.

Cons: The knob doesn't go to 11 anymore - original had 0-11. Older folks may remember Spinal Tap. I didn't buy two when they were on sale. Wished you could turn off the light on the front when it's on - not a deal breaker though.

Other Thoughts: Remember this is not a $1000+ sub so don't expect it to perform like one. If you want a Velodyne then buy it. Friends and family always ask me what electronics they should buy. I tell them if it sounds good to you then buy it. I sold stereo equipment for years and always recommend you audition the equipment before you buy but at this price I pulled the trigger without doing that but I am satisfied with my purchase. Every speaker has it's own "personality" and all the speakers must work together to provide the sound that is desired by you. I would describe this as a plain jane vanilla sub that is hard to beat for the price. If you are a snobbish audiophile you wouldn't consider this sub, but if you're looking for a sub that delivers great bang for the buck this should be on your short list of potential buys.

5 out of 5 eggs Just Wow 09/29/2014

This review is from: SAMSUNG Pro 64GB microSDXC Flash Card Model MB-MG64DA/AM

Pros: Fast and works with my Asus T100 tablet.

Cons: Not a lifetime warranty but I'll be happy if it works for 5 years. After that I'll have moved on to the next best tech....

Other Thoughts: Hopefully this will save someone time trying to find a good SD card for their Asus or any Bay Trail based tablet. I found out Intel has issue with UH-1 SD Cards and not all are compatible. Fortunately this one is and it's fast!

3 out of 5 eggs Not Compatible with Asus T100 Tablet 09/29/2014

This review is from: Team Xtreem 64GB microSDXC Flash Card With Card Reader Model TUSDX64GUHS30

Pros: Fast and great price, bought this for my new tablet. Didn't work so it's now in my Samsung S4 phone.

Cons: Not Team G's fault but Intels Bay Trail Processor based tablets have compatibility issue with UH-1 SD Cards. This one didn't work but works great in my phone, laptop and Tegra based tablet.

Other Thoughts: Just hope this helps someone looking for an SD Card for their Asus T100 Tablet looking for one that works. This one did not work with mine.
