GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 DirectX 12 GV-N1070G1 GAMING-8GD 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 ATX Video Card

Pros: This is a very fast and quiet card. Great temps and no issues with the build. Seems like a very high quality product when you are holding It and I really like that it has a backplate so it doesn't warp or sag like other manufacturers cards.

Cons: Gigabyte xtreme gaming app has a built in on screen display that you can't turn off. It causes some games to crash. My particular card is not stable in oc mode but it is stable in gaming mode. My chip just isn't a good overclocking chip. Dont really care because I don't oc anyways. My fans make a pulsing noise at idle sometimes. Very quiet but it still gets annoying that the sound changes. Probably wouldn't notice if my desktop wasn't a foot from me on my desk. Turn off 3D fan in the gigabyte app to stop it from doing that

Thermaltake A4022 92mm CPU Cooler

2 out of 5 eggs Can't cool a 125W CPU 07/10/2014

This review is from: Thermaltake A4022 92mm CPU Cooler

Pros: Very quiet, Seems like it's made well

Cons: Won't keep my 125W Phenom 9850 cool even with better than stock thermal paste. Idles at 45C and under load goes up to 82C and hits the thermal shutdown of the CPU. No copper at all, It's all aluminum which is inferior for heat transfer/dispersion.

Other Thoughts: This is probably ok for any dual core or non phenom chips but when it comes to 125W or anything close to that get something else.

ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

3 out of 5 eggs Good sound but front panel audio died in less than a year. 08/31/2013

This review is from: ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

Pros: Sounds great. Has enough power for my AKG headphones. Definitely an upgrade over on-board. Software works well and is lightweight.

Cons: Mine partially died in less than a year. One day I was listening to something and there was white noise and popping noises over my audio. Switched to the back plug from the front panel and the noise went away.

Other Thoughts: I would RMA this with ASUS but it was so cheap it's hardly worth the effort. I don't know what to buy now though because it's hard to find an inexpensive sound card that works good that has a headphone amp built in. Might end up getting another one.
