This review is from: Logitech 963290-0403 Extreme 3D Pro USB Joystick
Pros: It's an easy to use stick, simple to set up, good for beginners. Definitely comfortable considering the ergonomic handle, and all of the buttons except one are well placed. The heavy base suits it well, but requires a lot of desk-space to use. The throttle level is actually intelligently designed despite how things seem.
Cons: It's pretty low-quality in terms of construction feels plasticy because it's construction is almost exclusively plastic. That is rather expectant. There's a about half a centimeter of wiggle-room in the neutral position, which is not good. the throttle lever, while well-placed, is awful for fine adjustments. It often sticks, so using a consistent amount of force will result in an inconsistent actual movement. While the rest of the buttons are pretty good, the hat switch is terrible. You need to use very tough thumb input in order for it to register, and because of the indented design in its center, which is comfortable at rest, it is a strangely difficult button to reach, even with big hands. Its number of buttons is alright, but adding a couple more would've been helpful for secondary functions as there are just BARELY enough to cover everything I need it for.
Other Thoughts: If you need an inexpensive or easily usable flight stick for extended hours of play and don't mind a couple compromises, this stick will be just fine as a workhorse. It gets the job done. However, it has a couple glaring problems such as the throttle, hat switch, and wiggling, so if you need something that is precise or that ensures every single function of your game is on the controller, you should probably get a HOTAS setup or a higher quality stick, though there are almost no sticks that combine this price and relative function.
I only recently got into flight games, so it was a good stick to start with, but it's gonna be worth it for me to buy a HOTAS setup for the future. According to Newegg, I also somehow purchased this stick at seven dollars... Might be a bug because that price is ludicrously low, but nonetheless it was worth using for a rookie.
This review is from: Logitech G230 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Stereo Gaming Headset
Pros: Good sound quality, certainly noise-cancelling [AT least they're thick enough to block sound somewhat.] comes with an extension cord awesome mic quality.
Cons: Ouch. These things are extremely uncomfortable.
Other Thoughts: I needed a replacement for my aging ALienware headset which is by far the most comfortable thing I've worn on my head ever. This headset is the opposite. Sound quality is good, mic quality is even better, but it is incredibly tight, occasionally itchy and maybe even a little small for the ears. unless you have it firmly planted far back on your scalp, the headset will slip and be strung up only by your ears which is apparently really painful.
Ultimately a good replacement quality wise, but I'm considering ditching it for another Alienware TactX... It's a steelseries licence-built product, but only Alienware sells it anymore. I would recommend that over this, though it does not cancel noise and sound quality is slightly less bassy.
Pros: Fantastic color quality, ultra thin it's perfect for gaming. Full HD is also standard, but the fact that this screen isn't some gigantic 27" monitor means that the pixels are much less noticeable.
Cons: Pretty darn flimsy, although it doesn't shake while gaming or just during general use, plugging in a wire makes it seem like an earthquake is happening. Also, I almost snapped the poor thing in half trying to adjust the screen because of the stiff stand which requires a lock button to be depressed for screen movement.
Other Thoughts: I had to pick this up at the "other yellow and blue" store, but It was cheaper here.READ FULL REVIEW
