Pros: Having owned several ASUS products (monitor, motherboards), I was a little skeptical on getting a gaming laptop at the $1,500+ price range. First thing I thought of was the budget computers my old job used to get us for the 400 - 500 dollar price range. That being said, the ASUS ROG G750JX totally blew my expectations out of the park and changed my whole perspective on the ASUS brand. Pros -- Value - Pretty straight forward here. You're getting a top notch gaming laptop for the price of around $1,700. The competition i mentioned above couldn't match the specs for the price (usually gave a little less for the price or charged too much for the same thing). Build - Not everyone would agree with me but the design is downright sick. The 2 fans in the back are pivotal in making sure that the computer doesn't overheat and works quite nicely. The computer has a very good feel to it and doesn't feel cheap at all. The finish on top of the laptop seems to be made of a rubbery consistency although it does allow me to grip it preventing me from dropping it. The ROG logo is also found on the front of the laptop and on the bottom right of the keyboard as well. And for anyone who got the JH edition, will also have an assassin's creed logo next to it. Key's feel nice, flat and solid, as well as the mouse. No issues with the clicking and response so far. The speakers are interestingly placed behind the monitor and in front of the fender (yes, it looks like the fender of a race car). The 17.3 inch screen looks like it floats off the computer based on the way it's designed. ASUS does a great job hiding the hinges that attach the screen to the rest of the laptop. There are also rubber pieces around the screen so it prevents it from touching the keyboard and work VERY well. These subtle details make me respect the build quality of the machine. Performance - Wickedly fast machine. Boot time of just 2 seconds. Expect any system updates to be a breeze. I don't know of any games that this monster can't run on max specs just yet. I ran a couple of tests and the G750 can easily run the standard FPS games just fine (BF4, Bioshock Infinite). Ironically, can you run.com didn't detect the video card on the computer, it did recognize the RAM on the card though. The Nitty Gritty -- Also comes with ASUS Web Storage and also a 1 year warranty on the computer (accidental damage). This isn't a focal point that drove my decision to buy the computer but it's always good to get benefits on top of it.

Cons: Cons -- Windows 8 - I had to put this down as a con because of how different W8 moves away from Windows7. Luckily there are easy fixes to the issue -- you can always download a program that masks the start screen altogether. Windows 8 lacks a clear way to consolidate all your gaming files -- especially if you want to look through your computer and HDD's. Weight - Although I said the weight isn't an issue, I can also see how it CAN be an issue for other people in the market for a gaming laptop. Despite being fast and well designed, It can be a little heavy to some. Blu-Ray - At this price range of $1,700, you'd expect one! Unfortunately, the Blu-Ray player only comes in at the $2000 JH Model. Battery Life - The other big tradeoff -- If you expect performance, don't expect battery life to come with it. As expected out of a gaming laptop, it lasts around 3 to 4 hours. I would say even less if you're running games at full specs for an extended amount of time. I averaged around 4 hours standard when I just surfed the web and what not. Don't rely on the battery too much, bring your adapter.

Overall Review: Other Options Considered -- When looking for a labtop deal pre-black friday, I had a couple of other options in mind outside of ASUS. I was looking at the Alienware 17 ($1,800 range) and the MSI GS70 around the $1,700 dollar price range. I ultimately chose the ASUS over the other two due to value I was getting. Dell was going to charge me an extra 200 dollars on tax and more just to get the same thing from ASUS. Sure, Alienware is a much more trusted name but with the same specs (and the 250gb SSD) it was an easy choice. With the MSI GS70, I liked the value being packed into the machine but overheating seemed to be an issue. Even as the slimmest gaming laptop yet, the weight of the G750 didn't influence my decision; I expected gaming laptops to be heavy nevertheless. Also, had a lower graphics card end graphics card, GeForce 765M. Conclusion -- The ASUS G750JX serves as a fine desktop replacement and an excellent gaming laptop for your money. I would definitely mark this product as a BUY for any gamer out there who wants a fairly priced gaming beast and don't want to break the bank. Of course, there's always the JW model and JH models that will suit your financial needs. If you don't mind the weight, and bulkiness of the machine then this is the machine for you.

Cons: - Doesn't come with M.2 screws - Expensive (Wait for sale)

Overall Review: Simply put, and still, on of the best PCIE M.2 for Gen 3 right now in it's class and totally worth the buy if you have the capacity for it on your MOBO. I have 3 of them and never regretted the purchase.

Pros: This case comes with all you need -- RGB controller, Fan splitters, screws and thorough guide if needed. I was not missing any parts upon receiving the case. There is plenty of room to work with within the case, most parts are pretty much detachable from the SSD cage to the beauty panels in the back of the case. Overall high quality parts from the tempered glass to the front fans. Post build - my old mid tower case was 43c - 45c average idle temps for my CPU but since switching to this case my average idle temp dropped to 35c on average. The cooling is for real.

Cons: Some might feel that the front mesh cover might have a cheap feel since it is plastic. Be careful of removing some parts for that reason. The only other con I can think of is that the back beauty panel might obstruct any kind of wire management especially if your PSU has very chunky cables, so keep that in mind. Some people might remove the cover all together. It worked fine for me but it was a VERY tight fit. Some screws might be tight fit nicking off some of the paint on the shroud -- like the front shroud for the SSD cage. So just be careful screwing in too tightly.

Overall Review: TLDR -- If you are looking for a great airflow case with style, look no further.
