ALPS Beige 2.0/1.0 MB 3.5" Internal Floppy Drive Model DF354H068F

Pros: Works. So that makes it good.

Cons: none

Overall Review: It's ugly on the outside, so if you are looking for something to match your case - 1980's computer tan is probably not going to match.

ARRRRRRRRRGH!!!!

GeIL Ultra 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model GX22GB6400UDC
GeIL Ultra 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model GX22GB6400UDC

Pros: Please read cons first! Very nice color. Looks good on the MOBO. Over clocking this RAM is fantastic - when it works!

Cons: Where do I begin. I bought this RAM after reading the reviews, seeing a 54% between 1 and 2 on other people's reviews. I should have known better. The RAM didn't POST when I got it - BEEEEEP beep beep - tech's will know what I mean. Took out one stick and was able to get to the bios, even though the system constantly was hanging. Upped the voltage to 2.25 (wanted to stay within the manufacturers limits). The RAM is rated at 1.8-2.3 volts. Got it to finally POST with the 2.25 voltage (tried everything between 1.8-2.25 at this point), but constant hangs or tells me that my video card is bad (BEEEP beep beep beep). I then discovered the 2.7-2.8 volt stuff on their website. Contacted customer support, who is there between 9am and 6pm mon-fri only. Sent them an email, still waiting on a response. My MOBO will not handle anything over 2.5 volts. I upped it to that, and can get my computer to run - SOMETIIMES. Just stay away!! Listen to the rating numbers!

Overall Review: Stay away! RUN AWAY!

Get it!

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ - Athlon 64 X2 Windsor Dual-Core 2.6 GHz Socket AM2 89W Processor - ADA5200CSBOX

Pros: Everything is great. Very FAST!

Cons: None

Overall Review: This is probably the next best thing to the FX CPU.

Thoughtful are the people at Nvidia

BIOSTAR GeForce 7600GS 512MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Video Card V7602GS51
BIOSTAR GeForce 7600GS 512MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Video Card V7602GS51

Pros: The card performs very well. VERY FAST compared to 256 or 128 cards. They bundle tweaking software which tests the loads your system can handle. It then uses that configuration. The software has a "test" button which I suggest using 3 times to see if it passes before using the configuration.

Cons: Beefy - be ready to abandon a PCI slot if you are using the M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard.

Nice board!

ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Rock solid construction - excellent tech support. This board brought a happy tear to my eye... Voltage support max's out at 2.5 volts. At the Geil memory website they recommend using 2.7-2.8 volts if you are having problems with their DDR2-800 Ultra RAM. Not the board's fault - just avoid that RAM! The board has so much tweak-ability that it is insane. They even bundle software for atuo-tweaking which will test the loads and come up with a configuration that your hardware can handle AND it will use that ONLY when you are doing anything process intensive. This helps keep your system cool when you aren't doing much of anything. You also have access to everything you could possibly want to tweak.

Cons: None

Overall Review: It looks like a Ferrari engine.

Average Case - awesome power

Broadway Com Corp 9968 Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 550W Power Supply
Broadway Com Corp 9968 Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 550W Power Supply

Pros: 550 volt power supply and cool lights. Nice, big exhaust fan in the back which keeps my system running at about 32 degrees C.

Cons: The wire for the IEEE port came unplugged from the front port (probably came out during shipping). The plugs that go to the fans/disk drives were somewhat un-square.

Overall Review: This case comes with a 20 pin power connector to the board. Think ahead like I did and buy a 20 pin to 24 pin converter (if your motherboard requires it) when purchasing! The components get a bit cramped when building with an M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard - unless you are ready to risk your IDE cables, buy another case when using this board.
