Works, but some unwanted problems
Pros: Really works, both frequencies are supported and together with N provide a good stability and speed. I connected it to my primary WiFi router at 5 GHz and opened 2.4 GHz for the rest of devices. The receiver it connected using the wire. Looks good, but...
Cons: It has one problem that I really hate. It I use the WiFi from this extender and connect my devices to it, it uses the DHCP server on my main router and assigns the right IP addresses. Plus the entire network is traceable and visible. The problem comes when I want to use the wired connection. My received is connected to this extender using RJ45 and the extender provides its own IP addresses, which is weird. The second problem - I cannot get access to my own receiver from my primary LAN. Who was so stupid, that implemented this feature and made it permanent? I hate that. Now in order to connect to my receiver and have the ability to drive it using my mobile phone or tablet I have to connect to the secondary network, provided by this extender. Why??? Why don't we get this feature optional so we can disable it and rely on the main network provided by the primary router? Really stupid solution. I'm ab out tom return it back, but the only thing holds me down - there is not any reasonable alternative in this price range for home.
Overall Review: I hope to see a better firmware one day, so I could use the real MAC addresses instead of the virtual ones provided by this box and ideally to use the same home LAN with just one DHCP server inside my primary router so I can see and use the entire network. The way it's done now is stupid. Surprisingly, the WiFi works my better and uses the primary router sitting on the primary network and IP range. If you want to buy this device and keep using the MAC address network protection try to be extremely patient, it's a serious pain.
3 years of 24/7 and that's all
Pros: Excellent night video, incredible day video, varifocal, sensitive, stable
Cons: Died after 3 years of 24/7 work
23Hz-160kHz
Pros: I'm using Polk for over a year and happy with them. ATi12 plus sub make the sound really incredible.
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: It's always funny to see that the sub is able to reproduce these frequencies: 23Hz-160kHz. Maybe I should completely switch to sub and sell my primary speakers? :)
It was a mess from the very beginning
I first got an email message, asking me if I want to file for a refund since a delay is expected. Then it was "sent out", but the seller issues e a refund, because they messed up in the warehouse and either sent the wrong item or sent it to the wrong address, I guess both. The day of the scheduled delivery it was not delivered for sure, although the city matched, the package info said it was a few pounds, while it's a small sim card, and of course I never received it. Luckily I got the full refund for this mess.
