Nice case, bad PSU

XION Ultimate Engineering XON-002 Black/Silver SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450 Watt (P4 & AMD Ready) Power Supply
XION Ultimate Engineering XON-002 Black/Silver SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450 Watt (P4 & AMD Ready) Power Supply

Pros: Looks good, easy to work with, well-built, plenty of room to add fans if you want. By far, the best case I've had so far. I would definately recommend it to anyone.

Cons: Power Supply blew after a week. It's the only reason I rated Good instead of Excellent. It was a minor inconvenience for me.

Overall Review: I've had this case for about 2 years now, and haven't regreted buying it for a minute! I like the way it looks, the side panel is easily removeable, was easy to work with because of all the space inside, never any overheating problems (although I did add another fan). Newegg actually let me send back JUST THE POWER SUPPLY when it blew up on me, and replaced it. That's why we keep coming back to Newegg!

Most Critical Review

Worst. Webcam. Ever.

Creative 73VF077000000 USB 2.0 Creative Live! Cam Sync HD Webcam
Creative 73VF077000000 USB 2.0 Creative Live! Cam Sync HD Webcam

Pros: Small, fairly long cable

Cons: 720P my ***! This is absolutely the worst picture quality I have ever seen in any webcam that claims to be HD! I challenge you to find worse. Exceptionally grainy and muddy picture, even in the best lighting conditions. I thought it was my settings or lighting, or maybe my USB-3 port, but no, after about 2 hours of playing around with all of the above, it's still horrible! I am actually embarrassed to stream with this thing because EVERYONE'S quality looks so much better than mine. Anyone who gives this preschool child's toy 5 stars either works for Creative of has no clue what a webcam even is.

Overall Review: I missed being able to return it by one week and now I will never even CONSIDER purchasing any Creative product again. Newegg should have a "minus stars" rating just for this thing.

Works Great and Reliable After Almost 2 Years

Rosewill RRC-126 - Windows Vista / 7 / 8 MCE Infrared Remote Control with Netflix Function
Rosewill RRC-126 - Windows Vista / 7 / 8 MCE Infrared Remote Control with Netflix Function

Pros: Excellent functionality! Worked out of the box - no setup! Even comes with batteries.

Cons: Made for tiny hands No lighted buttons No TV control

Overall Review: Works flawlessly with my Windows 7 X64 Media Center HTPC. I wish Rosewill would make a larger version of this remote with lighted buttons, which would turn my Sony TV on and off. I would gladly pay more. It's such a pain to have to keep this AND my TV remote handy JUST to turn it on and off! Other than my cons, I love this remote, but I also paid about $10 less when I bought it. I don't understand why they don't listen to people and make it larger, with lighted buttons, and TV control. They would have the best Media Center remote on the market IMO. Even so, this one is well worth the money.

Absolute worst!

NETGEAR WNA3100-100ENS Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates
NETGEAR WNA3100-100ENS Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: Non-explosive

Cons: I didn't get this from Newegg,, but what a piece of JUNK! For 2 days it worked with Windows 7 x64 after installing the drivers from the disk. When I tried to do a backup onto a network drive my connection dropped after about an hour. I deleted the partial backup and started over - same problem. I wasn't sure what caused it, so I decided to give up for now. Internet access also worked fine for the first couple of days. Suddenly it started randomly disconnecting, then within 3 days just refused to download any web pages. It just sits there trying and then times out with an error. Sometimes it will randomly drop my internet connection and nothing will bring it back except unplugging the adapter and plugging it into a different USB port. I have another computer with the same OS, on the same network, with a Linksys adapter, and it works flawlessly. I have tried everything, and mind you, I am a systems analyst and work with networks every day. Absolute JUNK!!

Overall Review: Now I've been cursing this thing out for over a week and I give up. Going back to the store right now to return it Netgear has lost me as a customer.

I will only buy Corsair from now on

CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850 W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850 W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Solid, powerful and quiet. 7 Year Warranty! All the cables I could possibly want, and plenty long.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I use this in my HTPC. It's been rock solid for 2 years. Finally wouldn't turn on one day, so I followed instructions for an RMA on their web site. They had a new PS at my door in AZ in LESS THAN A WEEK! I couldn't be happier with the rock-solid construction, and it runs quietly. Cosair has gained another fan, as long as they keep producing great products like this with the outstanding customer service that I received.

Worthless

Thermaltake BlacX N0028USU External Hard Drive SATA Enclosure Docking Station 2.5" & 3.5" USB 2.0
Thermaltake BlacX N0028USU External Hard Drive SATA Enclosure Docking Station 2.5" & 3.5" USB 2.0

Pros: Good idea

Cons: I went through hell trying to get this thing working. First, since my PC doesn't have eSATA I used the USB cable. Couldn't get Windows XP to detect this thing to save my live. I tried 3 different drives from Seagate and WD, and no luck. I tried every USB port on my computer, 3 cables. Total failure. I bought a eSATA card from Newegg and plugged the BlacX into it. Immediately my PC froze. I rebooted, and it froze during POST. I unplugged the drive, and plugged it back in after Windows loaded - froze again. Upgraded drivers for the card, still no luck. Finally, I went back to the USB cable. I could now see the drive in Device Manager, but not My Computer. I'm ready to smash this thing with a sledgehammer because I think it was DOA last year when I bought it. After reading so many DOA and "failure after a few months" stories Thermaltake has lost me as a customer forever.

Overall Review: I worked for companies that shipped bad products knowingly, but I thought Thermaltake was a reputable company. I think they've decided that they can survive on reputation alone. Well I know from experience they will suffer in the long run. I've seen it firsthand.
