Great casual, light-use laptop
Pros: - Light - White ;) - Aluminum covers - HDMI - USB 3.0
Cons: - Windows 8 (upgradable) - No installation media/partition - Minor bloatware
Overall Review: This has made a great laptop for casual use on the couch. I wouldn't use it as a business laptop (though I have used it in a few meetings), but it's plenty powerful enough for light use. I have had to replace the battery twice in 5 years, but generic brand batteries are only about $20 ea. Once I did the free Windows 10 upgrade the laptop was just about perfect for what we needed until Microsoft released an update to Windows 10 that completely crashed the OS!
LOUD Monitor!!!
Pros: Large, wide screen
Cons: The first monitor I received would go white after a few minutes of being on. The second one works okay, but they both had a VERY loud fan. The noise gets even louder when the signal input gets stronger.
Overall Review: I would stay away from this monitor unless it is going to be used in a warehouse or somewhere noise isn't an issue. Even the loudest PSU's and case fans don't compare to how loud this monitor is!!!
Damaged but Good
Pros: More than 100 discs were in the spindle.
Cons: The spindle cover was broken and taped back shut with packaging tape.
Overall Review: This obviously wasn't a new, unopened case. However, the extra discs that were in the sleeve from the manufacturer will compensate for it.
Sturdy 2.5" HDD Enclosure
Pros: Small, sturdy enclosure with access LEDs and . Also includes vinyl carrying case, USB cable, back-up software, and micro-screwdriver.
Cons: The "One-Touch-Backup" is deceptive in that it simply launches an application with a button press. You then have to setup the device backup settings/information as usual through the software. You will also need to purchase a seperate 2.5" HDD to go inside (if it isn't already understood).
Overall Review: This is a simple 2.5" external drive enclosure with USB hook-up. An additional driver can be installed to launch a software back-up utility (application included) by the press of a button on the outside of the enclosure. My preference is to ditch the USB pigtail and use a stanard A-A USB cable.
