I love this board!
Pros: This bios pretty much set itself up. Easiest install I have ever done. I am very satisfied, especially after the the buggy MSI board it replaced.
Cons: none.
Overall Review: a few more sata connections would be nice, but with TB drives coning down in price, I suppose 4 is enough.
this board was a prolem 4 me
Pros: the board fit the case well.
Cons: This board ran well at times, and not well at others. The intermittent problems appeared to be issues with the hard drives, or the raid driver, or the memory settings. After months of trying different drives, memory settings in the bios, Vista and XP, I sent to a shop. The shop thought they fixed it, but no.. I went with a Gigabyte S-series and all is well.
Overall Review: I have to believe the board was a lemon and not functioning as intended. The problem was that it ran well 50% of the time, making the problem hard to diagnose. The Gigiabyte S-series board I bought was so solid and easy to install, that I will surely purchase another. Sorry MSI. -Newegg is the best!
Better than I expected
Pros: Follow the directions from the rest of the posters and you will be pleased. 1: enable AHCI in bios before anything else. 2: Upgrade firmware. I have a feeling most of the people disappointed with this drive didn't follow the firmware upgrade instructions to the letter. My firmware update software wouldn't recognize the drive until I followed the first instruction..."Right clickRight Click the program “Corsair_FieldUpdater.exe” and select Run as Administrator" Don't just double click it like I did. - Rookie Move. Win7 performance 7.9 (max allowable)
Cons: None, but if you want to be fully informed before you purchase, research the difference between synchronous and asynchronous SSD drives.
Overall Review: Too many people seemed to shoot this down before following the instructions. Pros: This board has done everything I expected it to from the moment I installed it.
Cons: none
Overall Review: I'm not over clocking. Exactly WHat I expected
Pros: Saved $ by going with oem and not paying for a disk. The download took about 10 minutes over a cable connection.
Cons: This version does not include an additional license for a mobile device like some do. Not that it says it does. This is not a true con, just advice for others who may make the wrong assumption.
Overall Review: I'm not sure why this purchase can't result in the key being immediately emailed to the purchaser and thus be useable immediately after purchase. Waiting for ito deliver a number seems like an unnecessary inconvenience.
Solid Quiet attractive
Pros: Very Quiet large fans. Nice rolled edges, no need to cut yourself on this one. Attractive.
Cons: I'm not a big fan of the drive bay door.
Overall Review: I bought my second one today, and I've had my first for nearly a year.
