newegg: four stars, ups: one star

Pros: haven't used it yet, but am comfortable enough with gigabytes boards i have no doubt it'll do well for its intended use
Cons: none yet, will post if needed.
Overall Review: ummmmm . . . . . not related to the board, but how does ups think that shipping from california to oregon by way of kentucky mades any sense at all? it is beyond me. yay, newegg! boo, ups.
seems fine for a basic router

Pros: low price, decent set up
Cons: running in router mode it has guest ssid that keeps visitors from your network, but if you're running it in access point mode the guest account ssid allows network access. firmware versions 3.0.0.4.378.9479 and 9.0.0.4.380.2928 shows this behavior. any ideas? this is a deal killer for me, since the no-network-access is why i bought it
not the complete rail, just the adapter

Pros: it is what it is
Cons: it is NOT the entire rail as shown in the first image, it's just the 3.5-to-2.5 inch adapter as shown in additional images, NOTHING ELSE.
3 stars . . . barely

Pros: does have SM card slot
Cons: Half the time it seems to not be recognized by computers. Have tried it on several systems. Kinda feel like it's some old-school reader relabeled with Crucial's name (it has a "hi-speed usb" logo that I haven't seen for years, and it's not 3.0, so by today's standards, not exactly high speed).
Overall Review: It's used for swapping an audio file on a SM card twice a year, so its quirks are not a ginormous issue, but this isn't a card reader I'd use for daily production work.
caught me off guard

Pros: have used star's tsp100/143 futureprint series for years, always a solid little printer.
Cons: not really a con, but this one is a bit different, with a powered usb cable i've never seen before. documentation doesn't really explain it well, and i was thinking i'd use this as a replacement for another tsp100/143, so . . . i suggest you verify the ports on the back and whether it'll suit your needs.
Overall Review: other than the different ports on the back, it looks to be the same design, so i am expecting the same solid performance from this one. we use 'em in a rock yard, so they do get used!
shhhh . . . it's a secret

Pros: love it. beautiful portraits, wonderful colors, sharp and fast, discrete. my favorite lens by far.
Cons: doesn't serve me breakfast in bed.
Overall Review: have used a few L lenses (17-40, 24-70, 70-200 4.0) and i keep coming back to this trusty old prime. sold my first one, missed it, bought a second. it doesn't get much attention from the crowds, but then that's usually a good thing. the best part is this is the lens that most frequently gets ooohs and ahhhs from my friends and family. it makes me look good, and i like that.
