A beauty

Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24" Full HD 1920 x 1200 60Hz 8ms DisplayPort VGA DVI-D 4xUSB 2.0 Pivot Swivel Height Adjustable LED Backlit IPS Widescreen LCD Monitor
Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24" Full HD 1920 x 1200 60Hz 8ms DisplayPort VGA DVI-D 4xUSB 2.0 Pivot Swivel Height Adjustable LED Backlit IPS Widescreen LCD Monitor

Pros: Stunning colors and contrast. Flexible mount (90 degree rotation) works well with Eyefinity

Cons: Bezel is thicker than I'd like for multi-display use

Overall Review: Picked up 2 on sale for 239 and love them both. I compared it directly for a few days with the u2414h and went with this one because of the size and color performance. If you could combine this monitor with the bezel thickness of the u2414h at a 239 price point you'd have the perfect monitor.

not quite as good as the u2412m

Dell UltraSharp U2414H Black 23.8" Widescreen LED Backlight LCD IPS Monitor, 1920 x 1080, 1000:1, 250cd/m2, HDMI&DVI&USB Display Port, VESA Mountable
Dell UltraSharp U2414H Black 23.8" Widescreen LED Backlight LCD IPS Monitor, 1920 x 1080, 1000:1, 250cd/m2, HDMI&DVI&USB Display Port, VESA Mountable

Pros: ultra thin bezel decent colors/ performance

Cons: washed out color light bleed

Overall Review: i compared this directly with the u2412m. I wanted to love this monitor for the sleek appeal and super thin bezel. The reality is though after a few days of looking at both, it couldn't keep up with the color and performance of the u2412m.

So Far A Great Buy

Acer Nettop AspireRevo AR3700-U3002 Intel Atom D525 2GB DDR3 250GB HDD Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Pros: Low Cost Windows 7 Graphics Quiet Compact Low power consumption When properly updated, optimized and customized it plays EVERYTHING.

Cons: tons of bloatware to remove everything must be updated 2gig RAM

Overall Review: I bought this to replace my Popcorn hour in the living room. So far for this its been great. I removed all of the bloatware and updated all the drivers first (~2hrs). Backed up the files and dropped in 4gigs of ram i picked up here for $13. Primarily using WMC right now and am happy with it. Added MediaBrowser and Shark007 codecs to get everything playing nice with each other. This will take a bit of work, but the walk through is ample and it has played everything I have thrown at it since. HippoRemote Pro is a great app if you have an iphone or ipad. It studders a bit with Hulu desktop, but I think that is more because of the beta. Hulu through Chrome works perfectly as does Netflix. I am thinking of paring it with a SiliconDust USB cable card next and giving it a test with Fios. One oddity though, when I popped open the case to put the ram in, I noticed the HD is 320GB. The profile says 250GB so I'm not complaining but I thought it was odd.
