Great portability
Pros: Very small, very lightweight, no need for a power cable, and doesn't come pre-loaded with anything - it's just a hard drive.
Cons: Would be nice to have a carrying case to help protect it. Also would be nice if it were formatted in FAT32 to be compatible with Macs, but it's easy enough to reformat.
Overall Review: Bought this for my wife to transfer photos back and forth between our home PC and the school's Macs. She loves it! It's got plenty of space, and it's extremely portable. The only thing that really disappointed me was the lack of a carrying case - but you can find them on other websites.
It works
Pros: It works. What more do you want? HDMI is a digital signal so the quality is exactly the same no matter how fancy your cable is. Either it works or it doesn't - and why spend a ton of money on them when you don't have to?
Cons: None
Overall Review: I've bought several of these, and they've never let me down.
Amazing system at an amazing price
Pros: There's nothing I've found about this system that I haven't liked! It's got everything - great video quality, great sound quality, Blu-ray, Netflix, Pandora, Youtube...
Cons: A couple of the features could be slightly better - see the in-depth thoughts below - but nothing major.
Overall Review: Netflix looks great and works great, though I like the XBox 360's Netflix implementation better - it's easier to navigate and allows you to browse movies other than your queue. Still, this system is always on and the XBox is not, so we usually stream Netflix through this system for the convenience. Pandora is excellent. It doesn't show your song history like the PC version does, and LG has an annoying screen saver that pops up, but it's not a big deal. And it sounds great! If you choose the Dolby ProLogic sound setting, you'll get music through all 5 channels. Youtube is... okay. The average Youtube video is not high enough quality to look very good on an HDTV. And I've found the Youtube feature to be fairly buggy, although to be fair I haven't tried updating the firmware. It's possible they've fixed that. I have an LG tv but ended up turning off the Simplink connection because it rarely did what I wanted and kept turning the TV speaker back on instead of the theater speakers
Wife loves it
Pros: Bought this for my wife because it was such a great price. Easy to understand, easy to play, and can be rather addicting.
Cons: Tends to be repetitive and offers little challenge.
Overall Review: A relaxing game for when you don't really want to think.
Works great
Pros: Bought a pair of these to upgrade my wired network to gigabit speeds. Connecting this to a router and connecting all your devices to this switch rather than the router is a cheap way to upgrade a wired network.
Cons: The indicator lights show orange for 100Mbps devices and green for 1000Mbps devices, but when you look at it from an angle, the lights always look orange. I hardly ever look at the switches, so it's not a big enough deal to lower the rating.
Overall Review: Waiting to buy a gigabit router until the wireless N standard is finalized. This works well in the meantime.
Great RAM
Pros: I bought a pair of these for my new Thinkpad T500. Works great. No compatibility issues, and significant improvement in performance.
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: When buying a new pre-built computer, it's usually cheaper to take the least amount of memory they'll give you and buy the actual amount memory you want from Newegg. Computer manufacturers overcharge you for adding memory to your computer. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy two individual sticks of memory rather than a kit as well, which was the case when I bought this.
My items were packed well and arrived about a week after purchasing. I would have given them 5 stars, except that I didn't get a tracking number or ETA. I had no idea when - or if - it would arrive until it showed up at my door. If it had been delivered to the wrong address, which is very common in our neighborhood, I wouldn't have even known.
