Hooray for the SSD!
Pros: Makes booting and running my programs AMAZINGLY fast. I boot windows in a matter of seconds. My games run very fast on it too. I compared other brands before I picked this one, the specs are way better than any alternative in this price point and size.
Cons: It's so tiny compared to HDDs... oh that's not much of a con. Make sure your case has everything you need to mount it. I am using RAIDMAX Seiran ATX-902WR, which holds it just fine with no additional hardware.
Overall Review: If I had realized how great SSDs ran, I would've done away with HDD a long time ago.
Wish I had Windows 7
Pros: Everything is fast, but I haven't had much time for things to bog me down, and my PC build is fast in its own right.
Cons: Aggravating for desktop use, because this is VERY geared for tablet use and for selling Microsoft apps. Word Starter is no longer included, which is reason enough for people like me to not want this OS. NVIDIA gfx card clashes with OS's dual monitor setup. my LG Blu-Ray drive (WH16NS40) has all kinds of issues. Windows Media Player won't even play my DVDs, or recognize my discs in the drive. I have a back-lit keyboard that does not turn off when the computer goes to sleep on its own. I have to manually set the computer to sleep for this.
Overall Review: I bought this based on it taking less resources to run than 7 does, but if I'd realized how much of an annoyance this OS was in comparison, I would've stuck with 7 in a heartbeat.
Gaming to the next level
Pros: This card was a great buy for the performance it offers. My games are running super fast at the highest settings.
Cons: VERY large. This is my first custom build, and I have no relative comparison for other cards, but make sure your case leaves room for everything else. The power connectors are on the opposite side of the PCI connectors, RIGHT by the side of my medium-sized case. I had to do careful cable management to keep these cables from hitting the side fan in my RAIDMAX Seiran ATX-902WR.
Better than Retailer
Pros: Bought this because it was the same price as the cheapest nameless brand a local retailer had, for my son's PC. It also has much better features.
Cons: HDMI input would be nice.
Overall Review: I wouldn't buy this for an amazing gaming build, but for general computer use it is great.
What's lag?
Pros: Had no issues installing, and everything is VERY fast. I love that the latency is lower than every other brand, though I can't say I'm responsive enough for that to matter.
Cons: Heat Spreaders make them kinda large, but they can be removed if they don't fit in your build.
Overall Review: LOVE IT
No complaints here.
Pros: Has everything I need, especially the PCI 3.0, which seemed hard to find when I was considering an AMD build instead of Intel.
Cons: Nothing really other than MAYBE the placement of SATA connectors relative to the PCI slots. The GeForce GTX 760 gfx card leaves it cramped for my SSD/HDD connections.
