Great receiver for average use
Pros: This receiver can do everything you need for an average user. HDMI inputs/output, RCA connections to everything as a backup, and possibility to mimic a 7.1 system.
Cons: One of the modes allows the receiver to utilize both speakers connected to ports A (front) and B (back). This mode is useless for 5.1 setup because you would never plug in the back speakers to B first, it has to be plugged into the Surround port. System doesn't auto-tune the B ports unless the Surround ports are used. Kinda disappointing because sometimes I want to use all speakers to play sound, but only way to do that is to choose a stereo playback mode, which makes me lose quality.
Overall Review: Have the OSD come out of the RCA output is annoying.
Subwoofer for the average listener
Pros: Very cheap subwoofer ($79.99 deal) and great sound output. Remember to break in the sub before you start comparing it's potential. This sub performs better than the polk sub for around the same price. Works great for anyone from an average listener to a video gamer.
Cons: All the knobs are in the back. Kind of annoying to get to if you have to adjust it since your sub should be placed somewhere inconspicuous. Not a big deal since you should only adjust a few times after you get the perfect range and sound down from tuning.
Overall Review: Wait for the half off deal (or whatever gets it to $79.99 or lower).
Good laptop for price
Pros: For it's specs, the price is a steal. Got it on sale for under $400. Laptop is good for the more than average user, as it has enough RAM than most desktops.
Cons: Keyboard keys are flimsy, they easily fall off if you type too hard. Partitioned disk space is annoying, had to manually remove it to get my full disk capacity usage.
Overall Review: If this was dual core, it would be the best laptop for the price. Single core at 2.2GHz is still noticeably slow. Not a deal breaker though.
Great speaker system
Pros: Everything in the specs is true. Speakers sounds great for an average person. If you want a living room audio system, this is perfect enough for you. If you want more than that, consider spending $3k for an audio system.
Cons: Speaker connections at the back are small. Hard to fit in small AWG's. I used 14AWG and it barely fits. I don't think a 12AWG will fit at all in the back connections.
Overall Review: Wish it came with short speaker cables to test out first before buying full length speaker cables.
