Bios Should Be Updated For FX Processors
Pros: Color looks awesome in my NZXT Tempest 410 elite :) Over clocks well, on board raid worked perfectly the first time with drivers on my usb (first time its worked for me on any boards!).
Cons: Need the beta bios from Gigabytes website in order to disable the power management that causes FX cpu's to throttle. Note: you can use AMD Overdrive to disable the feature if you do not want to update your bios, however, you must have Overdrive load on windows start to keep that setting..ewww!
Overall Review: If your going to release a board that supports FX cpu's then please make sure all the features we need are on it before it ships so that customers do not have to take the risk of flashing there bios with a beta :(
Doesn't work with Kaveri & No customer support
Pros: Has potential for intel systems, but people buy fast RAM for APU's.
Cons: Cant get stable with my g1snipera88x mb and kaveri a10-7850k, not sure what to do wish I could get a refund and try another brand. I've tried multiple times to fill out a request for contact the manufacturer but no one ever responds.
Best Bang For Buck But...
Pros: Keys feel amazing Backlight good keyboard weight mouse wheel clicks which is great for selecting weapons on fps
Cons: *mouse does not have left-right scroll wheel! mouse is on the light side clicking noise when shacking the mouse vigerously, but hardly noticeable
Overall Review: I would have rather seen cooler master do away with the mouse, and invest that money back into the keyboard. For example, extend the wrist rest because it's not long enough for my wrists to even rest on it, and make is slightly ergonomic like the wave. Overall this was a great purchase even if I buy another mouse!
DOA
Pros: Small? Price?
Cons: DOA, first time I've ever had this happen.
I had to try dual graphics...
Pros: Crossfired with my a10-7850k 4.4ghz cpu / 2000nb /1ghz igpu / 2400mhz ram with no problems. Combined with my OC APU, my system plays all current games on high and uses very little power. Silent
Cons: Still think it should be cheaper considering most people will buy this for dual graphics (formally known as hybrid crossfire) with an $180 APU.
Overall Review: Initially I was concerned that the dedicated GPU @ 1200mhz would bottle neck the APU with faster RAM @ 2400mhz, but what I didn't understand was that the APU is using a 64 bit memory interface/bus, and the R7-250 is using a 128bit memory interface/bus. The higher memory bus of the R7 makes it keep up with the APU and preform slightly better alone vs the APU.
I Can Not Believe It...
Pros: I was very surprised to find that this APU when paired with 8gbs of 2400mhz ram and no gpu, outperforms my old fx 4100 @ 4.6ghz & HD 7770 OC edition. I don't know what that other review was talking about, but my a10-7850k plays Diablo 3 on highest settings with every option turned on including the new reflections @ 1080p at 40-50 fps! I can even run fraps with this cpu and still play over 30fps easy. My Kaveri is oc to 4.4ghz, igpu @ 1ghz, NB 1900mhz. These OC's came EXTREMELY easy with little voltage increases...makes me wonder why it didn't ship with these settings to begin with...
Cons: Price. I still feel like the price is to high considering you will need to buy new ram to make the purchase worth it. This is a step in the right direction for AMD.
Overall Review: I'm playing all the latest games with no gpu, I cant wait to see what performance I get with crossfire later on.
