Corsair Flash Voyager USB 3.0 32 GB, Read 200 MBs - Write 40 MBs, Plug and Play (CMFVY3A-32GB)
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Drive is large enough for a lot of files===
good protective enclosure==
great support from Corsair!

Cons: Be careful not to loose the cap!

Other Thoughts: I had been using the USB2.0 version of this for quite a while. The drive began to get flakey after much daily use but to my amazement it was still under warranty. After I contacted Corsair about replacement they sent me a new one. I received a 32gb USB3.0 flash drive! This drive works great in my adapter. It is fast as lightning. I transfer a lot of tv shows on it and it takes only a few seconds to load one-hour shows. I also have all my utility programs for fixing and setting up pc's on this drive. I feel very secure with this drive as it has proven reliable. I am always going to go with Corsair products from now on. One time they even sent me a new cap to replace my lost one for free!

ORICO PFU3-2P Lightning 2 - Port MAC PCI - Express to USB3.0 Controller Adapter Card for MAC & Windows Mini PCI - E USB3.0 Host Card

Pros: Very fast transfers-reads and writes.
Good price on sale.
Has a low profile bracket...
this is a just a basic unit---

Cons: no internal header for front panels ports
I had to use the cd for the drivers but no biggie
not really a con but you may not have a Molex connector on some of the more slimmed down newer pc's. I had to actually install one on an HP unit. The unit only had SATA power cords and one fan about cheap!!! That's what they made soldering irons----------

Other Thoughts: I can't believe how fast this thing is. I put this in a cheap HP sff pc for a faster usb port and it really works great with USB3 flashdrives! It transfers all my video/medial files so much faster than the old USB2. I am so glad I got waiting around! Now to see how long it will last......for the price just get it-------------------

Kingston 8GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model SD4/8GB

1 out of 5 eggs Good Price- is it worth it? 09/10/2014

This review is from: Kingston 8GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model SD4/8GB

Pros: cheap price for such a large card

Cons: The description "Boasts" high speed class 4----that's nothing to boast about! That is pretty slow but I knew it when I bought it.

Other Thoughts: I used the card in the pc and it worked for a 3gig folder with four files inside. I could read it and write to it but had a hard time deleting the folder for some reason. Even a reformat would not delete the folder but I did delete each file manually. The card will not work for any camera I
I tried it on. I formatted it in NTFS and it still did not work in any of my cameras which are all SDHC ready and call for that form of format. I will return the product for another one--shouldn't have been so quick to buy something so cheap but Newegg has always been good about returning products that don't work. I will do a little more research with the company to see if they can fix it.........
