Pros: Great upgrade from my stock cooler! Keeps my core 2 quad @2.33ghz nice and cool :) -Thermal paste was weird (Brown color, very sticky, and smelled like cinnamon) but I can get over that. -Can be used as a liquid-cooling waterblock!! Great starting point for any cooling system -Makes little to no noise whatsoever.
Cons: -Brown color doesn't match anything in my case -No wires to speak of? (Maybe it's wireless) -Still has that lingering cinnamon smell. Must have been something in the packaging
Overall Review: Ok, I was in Stop&Shop yesterday and I saw these. When did Stop&Shop start stocking computer parts?! Looks like Newegg has some competition *EDIT* Alright, after a week of having this installed in my case it's starting to turn green. Looks like mold but I didn't think mold grew on metal/plastic parts? Really strange maybe I should take it out for a while.
Pretty awesome so far
Pros: -Attractive Design -Dual Band -Strong Signal -FAST, I didn't even know consumer wireless had these capabilities and I work in IT! -Gigabit LAN Ports -Very intuitive webUI while not being too simple (I like access to all the tweaks and settings) -Easy firmware upgrades -Reliable so far -Wireless AC, making it future proof
Cons: -Very pricey -Unusual color at bottom of unit (Yellow? Why netgear??) -No antenna port (I like to have the option for an external antenna)
Overall Review: While not perfect, this is definitely one of the best routers I've had to date. And trust me, i've owned quite a few Because I work in IT, I was thinking of just buying a business-level router because of their known reliability, but they lack certain home features i'd like such as guest network etc. I ended up going with the netgear, and I won't be looking back!
Good product.
Pros: -It has a slim build unlike some other laptop coolers around and is pretty much silent due to having one large fan. -The blue LED is a plus (It matches the LED's on my laptop) and it fits my 15" lappy like a glove. -Buttons to turn off the fan and LED's if desired -Decent value
Cons: -Although the product boasts having 2 USB ports on the side you NEED to use one of the ports to connect it to your computer. Truthfully there is only one useable port which annoyed me slightly. Just keep that in mind before buying.
Overall Review: I felt better buying a product from Thermaltake because I have purchased their merch before and I was not disappointed
Significant Boost
Pros: Bought this antenna for my extra desktop in the upstairs bedroom. Since the router is on the 1st floor on the whole other side of the house, I would get 1-2 bars average or sometimes no signal at all due to the terrible antenna that came with the desktops wifi card. After I replaced one of the antennas on the wifi card with this, the signal strength shot up to an average of 4 bars. Although the omni-directional antenna was not needed, I thought it better because if my internet was ever down I could pick up the neighbors ;o.
Cons: None so far. Only owned for about 3 days however so we shall see.
Overall Review: Good for any desktop with a wifi-card where you would be wanting to pick up signals from all directions. Be reminded though, if you have this connected to a router on the edge of the house, you might not want to get an omni-directional antenna because half of the signal would just be going outside. Best for locations in the middle of the house.
