Excellent remote

AVS Gear GP-IR01BK Windows Vista Infrared MCE Black Remote Control
AVS Gear GP-IR01BK Windows Vista Infrared MCE Black Remote Control

Pros: Excellent remote, works great out of the box for XBMC, using external programs like Eventghost can make all the buttons usable so you can use green button to launch XBMC and wake the computer from a sleep state.

Cons: Windowlickers with "high tech understanding" complaining it doesn't work in XP. Should change their tech knowledge to "somewhat stupid" or "doesn't read". XP is 10 years old at this point anyways, get with the times, companies aren't gonna support every operating system for decades.

Works great

Pros: Simple switch, works great, as advertised. If you need more hardwired network connections for xbox, htpc, tv, etc this will do the job.

Cons: None

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Does everything I need for a low price with great functionality.

Cons: Picky with memory, had to use one stick and try different slots to get it to post, then changed memory timings to something more appropriate then it worked fine. By default it set the timings more aggressive which didn't fly well with the memory I got.

Overall Review: Check for the proper settings for your ram and have it on hand before you put the system together.
