Gaming on the next level!

Logitech G13 (920-000946) Advanced Gameboard
Logitech G13 (920-000946) Advanced Gameboard

Pros: I love this new game board! It has so many features that i had to spend a decent amount of time becoming aware of all of it's features, and will be working with this a lot to take my game to the next level! The logitech software is relatively intuitive, and the number of games it has configurations for is huge. At first, there was a real learning curve. Learning another device means that I am going to have to learn it from scratch, just as if i was learning to use a keyboard or mouse from scratch. It feels a bit odd at first, but I'm slowly adjusting. The LED display is bright, you can change the color, and the readout gives you anything you need to know at that time. The joystick and buttons are easily programmed, and feel very solid, I can't find anything negative! Macro's aren't all that hard for even a novice to build, so be prepared to be blown away with how useful this little gadget can be. I would recommend this to anyone starting to learn how to operate a gameboard, and to experienced users alike.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Even if you are not a normal player of first person shooters, it is good practice to figure out this device using a practice game. I wouldn't recommend stressing it too much the first few days you own it, but it's great for adjusting to the feel of the controls, and will help you gauge how comfortable you are getting with it.

Well, it's a case...

Rosewill R2039-BK Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 400W Power Supply
Rosewill R2039-BK Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 400W Power Supply

Pros: It has a modest amount of space, and it's light.

Cons: Power Supply Fried within a very short period of time, i've had it for 3 days. I'd RMA it, but it looks as though the process is too much of a hassle for me to bother, though i'm going to try and call to see if i can just get the power supply replaced, with no incursion of a fee, or worrying about shipping, doubtful as though that is. I already have all of my stuff in the case, to have to RMA the entire case and power supply now would be pretty painful. Kinda disappointed. Oh, and hope you have a decent sized case fan, this little guy's going to need it badly.

Overall Review: I wouldn't count on the power supply. Newegg got it to me fast.

Noise cancellation and great sound!

Logitech G230 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Stereo Gaming Headset
Logitech G230 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Stereo Gaming Headset

Pros: Working from home can be tough. I live with 3 kids and two other adults in a residential area. I also have 2 rather large, sometimes noisy dogs. Between barking, people mowing the lawn, passing cars and all of the other distrations, noise cancellation is essential if i want to hear what someone on the other side of the phone is saying. Luckily the majority of these noises are not picked up by my microphone, so this problem seems to be a one way issue. I was excited to see this type of headset for a reasonable price! My parents before me owned an ancient pair with the old 1/4 inch plugin, and I enjoyed using them with an 1/8 inch adapter, it was always the best way to listen to Buffet! I would recommend these if you wanted to cancel the world around you out, or if you wanted to listen to music, it works great for both!

Cons: The cabling seems to be a little on the flimsy side, and the plastic design is a little disconcerting when it comes to longevity. They cup your ears closely, and it takes some effort to stretch them out to a comfortable level, but not so far that they slip right off your head.

Overall Review: Though it feels a bit flimsy, i have not experienced any issues so far. If i do run into a problem, i will post another review.

Fans

XIGMATEK eXTREME SILENT Series XSF-F1252 120mm Case Fan with FCB (Fluid Circulative Bearing), 4 in 1 package CFS-SXGJR-KU3
XIGMATEK eXTREME SILENT Series XSF-F1252 120mm Case Fan with FCB (Fluid Circulative Bearing), 4 in 1 package CFS-SXGJR-KU3

Pros: These fans have worked consistently so far, if there are any concerns or malfunctions, I will generate another review. They are relatively silent, especially if you consider the fact that prior to their installation, the stock fans on my video card (ATI XFX Radeon HD 7850 1GB ) were spinning madly, trying to keep my system cool. The fans allow me to play games at lower video card temperatures. My GPU was spiking to 75 Degrees Celsius, and this has dropped my temperatures to 55 Degrees. My CPU seems to consistently be about 7-8 degrees cooler as well. Trust me when i say even the smallest difference in airflow can mean the difference in dropped frames and fragmenting, and smooth gaming happiness. Not to mention that heat is the number one cause of component failure. This product is a must buy if you have the space.

Cons: One of the fans was initially generating a very high pitched squeal that would cause me a headache, but after a day of operation, it smoothed out. I am not certain if this fan was just a fluke of the assembly line, but it's something to look out for.

Overall Review: If you wish to install these, please remember that you need the proper spots, and the appropriate connectors within your case in order to make use of them. Luckily Newegg offers both :)

Fan Power

Evercool EC-DF001 1.47 ft. Supports 5 PWM Fans Black Braided Cable Male to Male
Evercool EC-DF001 1.47 ft. Supports 5 PWM Fans Black Braided Cable Male to Male

Pros: The fans run smoothly, there is nothing specifically wrong with these connectors. The connector was adequately long to place a number of 120MM fans in my case, and they all function properly, Hooray for cooling!

Cons: None

Overall Review: This cable works as prescribed.

*Update* Rosewill contacted me

Rosewill R2039-BK Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 400W Power Supply
Rosewill R2039-BK Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 400W Power Supply

Pros: Modest amount of space

Cons: Power Supply Fried within a very short period of time, ( 3 days) the manufacturer contacted me regarding my troubles with the case after my initial feedback to the site via e-mail, and told me to contact their customer support line, who immediately told me that someone was going to contact me, pretty much blowing me off. the callback was pretty fast, but the suspicions i had regarding RMA'ing just the power supply were true, Making the RMA pretty pointless if i have to rip everything apart to get anywhere. Given the circumstances, I couldn't imagine anyone actually going through with the RMA...

Overall Review: None really, don't count on the PSU.
