Good Customer Service Experience

MODAO Type C Wireless Mouse, 2.4GHZ USB C Wireless Mouse for Macbook 12", Macbook Pro 2016/2017, Chromebook and More USB C Devices (Black)
MODAO Type C Wireless Mouse, 2.4GHZ USB C Wireless Mouse for Macbook 12", Macbook Pro 2016/2017, Chromebook and More USB C Devices (Black)

Pros: - Bought two cooling fans that work better than expected - Received both items quickly - Customer service was very fast to respond when one of the fans turned out to be defective

Cons: - They're based in China which means it takes a little longer to get your order then if you're buying from someone here in the US. But I got my items really fast compared to other Chinese based businesses I've bought from in the past.

Overall Review: - I was really surprised how quick their customer service was and their level on knowledge. - They were very easy to work with and replaced the defective fan with few questions asked and a bit of pointed troubleshooting. - I will definitely buy from them again.

Slow and Unreliable

Sony 3D WiFi Built-in Blu-ray Player BDP-S570
Sony 3D WiFi Built-in Blu-ray Player BDP-S570

Pros: Buttons on the unit are nice because you push down on them instead of pushing them back, which always moves the player out of position (if your slightly OCD, like me, you might find this feature nice). It looks good and I can't complain about the image quality, it looks amazing.

Cons: This is my first Blu-ray player and so far I'm not impressed. It takes forever to turn on and I've had it crash on me at least 3 times. I thought computers crash and not home theater equipment? if I'm wrong then this is a disturbing trend. The time it takes for this thing to start is long enough for me to walk to the kitchen, pour myself a glass of crystal light and walk back with time to spare. Its borderline absurd. The video quality is great, but if other blu-ray players work like this one then we defiantly have a way to go before we prefect this technology.

Overall Review: Buy a blu-ray player from the same manufacturer as your television. I have a Samsung TV and wish I had bought a Samsung player because of its compatibility with my TV. If you want 3D then you really don't have any other choice.

Fast HD Duplication Tool

Aluratek AHDDUB100 2.5" & 3.5" Black SATA USB 2.0 External SATA Hard Drive Duplicator
Aluratek AHDDUB100 2.5" & 3.5" Black SATA USB 2.0 External SATA Hard Drive Duplicator

Pros: Faster duplication times than any other method of Hard Drive duplication I've come across. For me the real time saver is how easy it is to setup and start the dup process. It can also be used to convert bare hard drives into external USB drives. Very handy when you need to recover files and not as much of a tangled mess as the USB to SATA/IDE cables I was using.

Cons: The flaps that hold the hard drives in place are a little awkward. I've heard the buttons break easy, but so far so good.

Overall Review: I've duplicated a lot of hard drives over the years. In 2009 I duplicated 347 hard drives over a 7 day period, and it was a ridiculously slow process. To duplicate hard drives I had to take a computer, plug both the target drive and the source drive into that computer, and then use imaging software to duplicate it. This meant I had to shut the computer down, open the case, plug-in the new drive, turn the computer back on, load the OS, load the software, configure how I want to duplicate the drive, wait for it to duplicate, then repeat the process. With this, I just insert the source/target drive, press a button and it start duplicating at full USB2 speeds. I don't have to do any thinking other than making sure the target drive is either the same size or larger than the source drive.

Fast SSD

Patriot Inferno 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PI120GS25SSDR
Patriot Inferno 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PI120GS25SSDR

Pros: Extremely light, no noise what so ever, and easy to install. Much faster than my last SSD and one third the price. I bought a Patriot 120GB SSD almost 2 years ago for $680. The Inferno was only $250 and is twice as fast. It's nice to see that fast SSD technology is becoming more affordable. I won't consider owning a Laptop now unless it has an SSD, it makes that much of a performance deference! I'll probably buy another Inferno in the near future, this time on NewEgg. I paid more at a local store so I could have that instant gratification :)

Cons: None. Maybe not as fast as some of the higher end drives, but who cares. The difference is so slight it didn't factor in.

Overall Review: Make sure you enable Windows TRIM and disable Indexing. I used my hard drive duplicator to copy all 97GBs of data from my old SSD to this new one. It finished in 11 minutes! I don't have a bias for Patriot just because I own two of them. The value was there when compared to compeditors.
