Pros: Just got this today, installed and hey it works. Looks real nice as far as build quality and the blue matches the inside of my build. Super quiet compared to my old p/s. This Corsair measures about 54 decibel as far as noise is concerned, my old p/s was about 78 dB. Now it is nice and quiet in the room (used an app on my phone) Being semi modular is nice as well, system is running at a constant 26 C, versus the old p/s non modular at 30 C. Didn't realize the cords were blocking air flow that bad. Hopefully I won't need it, but 7 year warranty just in case. Fancy case badge.
Cons: Wasn't free. Having to do a mail in rebate, hopefully I receive it. Some of the sleeves on the 24 pin connector were frayed and snagged, but no big deal since I ran the cords in my cable management area of my case.
Other Thoughts: Nice velvet bag, just using it as storage at this point for spare pc parts. Just need my high end gfx card and finally complete my first build.
AMD 8350, 32gb G Skill Ripjaw X, Asus M5a990FX Pro , a dinky 5450 for now, 120 gb Kingston SSD with windows 8.1, 1TB WD, and a bunch of fans with LEDs because I felt like it.
Pros: 1TB for $55 what's not to like. Until I can get SSD at this capacity for a reasonable price, I'll stick to mechanical drives for my files and just ssd for OS. Seem lighter than typical 3.5 HD
