Awesome
Pros: This thing is a beast. Have it overclocked to 3.2ghz (1420QDR) at 1.38volts in the bios. Can rip through everything I throw at it with ease.
Cons: Multipliers, only from 6-9. Have to stress your FSB to get higher overclocks. Runs somewhat hot but if you have good cooling you don't need to worry about it.
Overall Review: You should be able to overclock to 3ghz with ease, just go into your bios and change the fsb to 1333. There you go, 3ghz without any modifications. I'm sure even the stock cooler can handle that. But I never used the stock cooler.
Pros: My dad got this for me and I usually don't like stand up comedy but this one was actually pretty good. This guy is a great speaker and ventriloquist and easily brings life to his puppets and is absolutely hilarious
Cons: Don't really like stand-up comedy so that's why I gave it 3 eggs
Overall Review: Love the egg!
WOW
Pros: This motherboard simply was plug and play. Posted on the first switch on. Took my old one out and put the new one it. The BIOS although elaborate is great and I easily overclocked my 4770k to 4.2ghz in a few mouse clicks. The Board looks great and goes awesome with my red and black watercooling theme in my system. Love the heatpipe and care in manufacturing. You know this is a solid board.
Cons: the bios might be too complex for a beginner, but they try to simplify that for you.
Overall Review: Asus quality. the last 3 motherboards i've owned...a 780i, x58 and z68 have all been built well but their BIOS always suffered. Asus took the time to build an awesome BIOS that does all the hard work for you. No more unstable BSOD. Yay!
fast but hot!
Pros: coming from an i7 975 Extreme edition processor this thing is pretty darn quick at 4.2ghz i had my i7 975 at 4.6 ghz at 1.4 volts and it was still slower than this guy is. it simply chews through anything i throw at it. i love the z87 features as well as the pci-e bandwidth. very nice.
Cons: it runs hot! super hot! with two 240mm radiators and an awesome waterblock...at 4.6ghz this guy was hitting 80-90 c ...not cool(literally). i would have to delid this badboy if i wanted to get better temps. i'm happy at the 4.2ghz setting i have it at now which has temps under load around 45c. just that .4ghz jump really makes some heat that the chip itself can't dissipate in time to the waterblock. intel should have welded the die to the heatsink instead of this gluing stuff. >.<
Overall Review: i7 4770 @ 4.2ghz Asus Maximus VI Hero 8gb G.skill Sniper @ 2400 mhz Evga 780 GTX SLI EVGA 1300 watt PSU Raystorm CPU Waterblock 2x OCOOL 240mm Copper radiators d5 pump Fractal Arc Midi 2 Case
shweeet!
Pros: Looks great! No bleed from the background. Isn't too bright or too dark. Never had to mess with the settings to get it just 'right' Specs: i7 975 extreme @ 4.4ghz 1.4volts evga 780 gtx sli 1300 watt evga psu
Cons: NO HDMI CABLE! had to steal the one hooked up to my led tv to run my computer ;/ 1080p? Big woop. one dead pixel. if i look hard enough i think i can find it. no big deal to me though. i see some absurdly extreme people on here returning their entire monitor just to get a screen without one dead pixel. not me though.
Overall Review: this thing is huge! in a good way :) sometimes size is everything, and this allows me to stay on top of the game. i seriously have about a 2:1 kd on bf4 now because i can see enemies a whole lot better now than on my old 22" hanns g lcd monitor.
Pros: install was pretty simple. came well packaged keeps my i5 cpu @ 4.3ghz in the low 40s under full load corsair led looks great in my case
Cons: had to buy a new case due to my motherboards heatsink getting in the way of the radiator/fan got a fractal design mid tower case. it's awesome! the fans they provided didn't hook up to the corsair unit like the instructions said (no big deal, i just used my motherboard Bios to control the fans) the corsair link software is a tad bit of a joke
Overall Review: if you're looking to try out watercooling and get your foot in the door. use this kit! it's great and the thermal pasta that comes pre-applied is more than adequate!
