So far so good
Pros: Easy to setup and install - Detected stronger signal strengths than my previously working built in wifi card. 2dBi Antenna was the selling point - This also has PSP XLink feature along with the ability to set it as a AP or Station
Cons: A little too wide and bulky - It may take up an adjacent USB slot on your system - Which I dislike very much - Also this thing is pretty big, with the antenna on it is about 3.75 inches long and about 1.125 Inches wide (It looks smaller than it is in the pictures)
Overall Review: Rosewill on the box and housing... Realtek is the actual manufacturer, and the software provided is Realtek also. We'll see how long it lasts but it sure does beat my Broadc*m piece of junk I had previously.
6 months later, still working.. but
Pros: Still working (barely, see cons), good realtek chipset, good signal
Cons: Major rosewill USB flaw: After noticing this on another Rosewill product I now know that they have a major design flaw on their USB devices! After unplugging/plugging in the USB device 100's of times over the course of 6 months to a year the USB connector stops connecting. The pins inside the connector wear out and is no longer able to establish a connection with any other USB devices! And this is not rough use, just every time you take your laptop portable you have to unplug and plug back in because this card is big. I had to replace the USB connector on my Rosewilll Laptop Cooler (fan) because the USB connector pins wear out after only unplugging/plugging in 100 or so times.
Overall Review: I originally bought this card to save my internal NIC card from dying early from being on 24/7 and using heavy bandwidth. Realtek is a much better chipset than the Broadcom though, and I haven't seen this card crash due to overload/heat in the 6mos I owned it. -Just be warned not to plug/unplug a lot otherwise it will not be able to make a USB connection over a period of time!
Works great so far
Overall Review: Works great so far
Works Great
Pros: No issues so far, XMP for easy overclock.
Cons: none
Overall Review: paired with MSI B550 Mortar and Ryzen 3600 so far so good. No RGB issues like other reviewers, works with mystic light perfectly!
Love it
Pros: Tons of convenient features, LEDs on the board that show you if your CPU/GPU/RAM/Storage or causing boot failure. Mystic Light works great controlling all of my LEDs. S/PDIF digital audio. USB-C front connector and back. Future proofing galore with PCI-E 4.0 m.2 and GPU lanes. Very detailed and easy to reference manual that covers everything.
Cons: BIOS is a little unintuitive and clunky. For some reason the manual says you have to put your first ram module in DIMM slot A2 first, not really sure why but there is a big warning.
Overall Review: Paired this with a 5700xt, Ryzen 3600, and 16GB Trident RGB
Working great for 3-4 years
Pros: works great and good reception
Cons: none
