The Best!

Noctua NH-U12S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-F12 120mm Fan (Brown)
Noctua NH-U12S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-F12 120mm Fan (Brown)

Pros: This CPU cooler is the real deal. Noctua has impressed me in so many ways: from the packaging, to the build quality, to performance. Keeps my CPU at 30 degrees idle and it is extremely quiet. Normally, I would opt for a 140mm fan any day, but I picked this up due to the 100% RAM compatibility and smaller size. A true performer, and easy to assemble in my case. A great experience so far, and I don't anticipate any issues going forward. With a great warranty from Noctua (6 years), I'm confident in my decision. Great product!

Cons: More pricey than the competition, but the performance and build quality more than make up for it. It is worth it.

Broken Promise

CORSAIR RM Series RM1000 1000 W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply
CORSAIR RM Series RM1000 1000 W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: None

Cons: Cables are cheap. Unit I received exhibited very noticeable coil whine despite being a product specifically designed to limit that very problem. Although I was very disappointed in the product, Newegg had my back, like they always do. Also ordered the individually sleeved cables from Corsair. After Newegg graciously processed my return and refund, I had no use for those cables. It took me literally an entire MONTH to process a simple return through Corsair.

Overall Review: Weigh the options of purchasing a Corsair product. If you have a problem like I did, you may end up dealing with Corsair Customer Service, and you most likely will end up getting stuck. I used to bat for the Corsair team. I have a case made by them, I have memory made by them, and I even run a PSU made by them. Lately, their quality control has gone down the drain. Their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with (forces you to use online ticket system, but does not read the specific problems you outline for them). Also, they force you to use a website that doesn't even have a refund option (after setting up two separate accounts, one for the store, one for the support site). I asked for a refund, and I was sent a PSU accessory pack! Don't make your customers jump through hoops; that's not how you run a business. I was ignored and disrespected. If I am not a priority for Corsair, then their products will no longer be a priority for me.

Almost Perfect

EVGA 03G-P4-2883-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card
EVGA 03G-P4-2883-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: This is the single fastest consumer GPU available specifically for gaming. It is a big performance boost over the GTX 680. The design and performance are great.

Cons: However, there are some negatives. This single card is still unable to max the most demanding games at 1080p and keep a consistent 60FPS. It does better than any other option (single GPU), but a SLI setup would still be necessary to really max those demanding titles. In addition, the card I received exhibited the same buzzing sound as the ACX version I originally tried. I was told this is coil whine, and unfortunately, the EVGA rep told me that most high performing GPUs experience this and most likely would be present on a replacement as well.

Overall Review: Card is great overall. Tends to run temps around 82 degrees in any game, and although it diverts most heat out of the case, it does make the inside of my rig much hotter than my GTX 680 did. Very quiet fan, even at high rpm, but the coil whine is an annoying "feature."
