Impressed
Pros: 1) Needed no firmware upgrade 2) Windows 7 installed easy & clean
Cons: 1) Did not come with a mounting bracket for desktops 2) Lack of documentation
Overall Review: Not purchased from Newegg.com, but I was definitely impressed by this drive. Definitely more than I expected, this thing is zippy.
Not so great
Pros: For the first 30 days, for the cost and the specs. I was seeing decent reads, and ok writes over a sata 2 connection.
Cons: 35 days after purchasing though the hard drive made a weird noise on boot, and no longer is recognized by the BIOS even with swapping cables, sata ports, and power supply connections.
Overall Review: Have a support ticket in with OCZ... hopefully this is replaced without to much hassle.
Would I do another build with it?...Yes
Pros: Enjoyed the quality of materials within the case and the attachments. In my opinion this was a great choice (if a bit pricey) for a Micro ATX build with not a lot of future plans for expansion. Another pro was that cable management was only needed for tidiness The build just completed for this tower was: *B75 Motherboard (1 x Sata 3 port, 5 x SATA 2) *Intel Core i5 (3350P) *HD 7750 Video Card *120 GB PNY SSD SATA 3 *500GB Mechanical HDD *4 x 2GB DDR3 Memory
Cons: Most of the cons I would say were poor engineering choices made by the designers. As others mentioned the cables running from the main door to the motherboard are quirky, obnoxious, and not a good idea even if the outside is sleek and well done. As well most of the hard drive locations are awkward and bizarre, and if you use a larger video card you lose the optical. Great if only upgrades are planned or to stay as is, but terrible choice if future expansion is needed other than more storage drives.
Overall Review: The bottom legs, and the top "handles" are neat. The legs seem flimsy but they just have some movement to them after testing I was happy enough with them. The top handles I would not suggest using for lifting as with fully installed system I would worry about them breaking under dynamic loads (initial lift motion, etc).
Pros: Fast, it follows up Windows 7 with some great enhancements. If you can't get over the UI shame on you, its barely there once configured correctly and enables more than it hinders.
Cons: The people complaining about the UI.
