Pros: Had to buy something as my 'small form factor' CPU has NO slots!! To run a second monitor, I had what was probably one of the first USB to VGA adapters that existed - decidedly a lesser brand - tha ultimately failed. This one was 1/3 the price I paid for the other one way back when, and the resolution one the second monitor is now every bit as good as the first monitor connected to the on board VGA port. The old adapter was never this good. I am thoroughly pleased with it! For the record, I am running 2 identical 20" HP monitors, and I cannot see any difference in quality between the two with the HP adapter installed.

Cons: I am still running XP, so I can't speak to the incompatibility with 7, and that is a concern, because I don't necessarily like being 3 generations behind on OS, now that 8 is on the horizon. Wish me luck!

Overall Review: Full motion full-screen video is not as smooth on adapter monitor as on VGA connected monitor, but I'm an accountant, and being able to see the little numbers in a spreadsheet or a PDF document is what it's all about for me.
