Very good board
Pros: This is my first attempt at building a PC. I selected this board so it would fit into my Compaq Presario case, and because it supported the latest AMD multi-core processors. I chose to use the Phenom II x2 550 3.1 Ghz processor for it's speed and to improve the FPS with Microsoft FSX. The board fit perfectly into my case and was very easy to connect with all power and the original Compaq front panel wiring (excluding AC97 audio jacks). On initial power up, the iinstalled BIOS version date showed 1-13-09. As instructed by the manual, I went to the BIOSTAR web site and downloaded the latest version of BIOS that supported the Phenom CPUs. After flashing the memory with the new BIOS, Windows XP Pro installed without a hitch. The automatic over clocking feature works great. My CPU is currently running at 3.6 Ghz using this easy to use feature.
Cons: The fron panel HD audio is not compatible with AC97 and there is no way to disable the front jack sense. (i now use the rear panel for headphones and mic)
Overall Review: I am very pleased with the overall performance of this Mobo and CPU. My FSX framerate is easily maintained at >20 FPS with all sliders set to HIGH. Phenom II x2 550 3.1 Ghz Black Edition 4GB Corsair Dual Channel 800 Mhz DDR2 WD 500GB SATA HD nVidia 8800GT OC Original HP DVD/CD Drive
Pros: I received this case 4 days after ordering with free shipping. The case was in ewxcellent condition for a refurb unit. I was quite impressed. This case is a GREAT deal. ! Thanks Newegg.
Cons: Minor peeve ,the case only had two mobo mounting standoffs installed and non were provided with the hardware pack.
Overall Review: The 4 cooling fans have made a big difference in keeping my hardware and cpu cool
