Sweet Laptop
Pros: NVMe supported - Instantly was able to get my Samsung 950 Pro working, no problems No Bloatware, finally! All drivers working as intended right from the get go Packing was awesome! Ordered Monday morning with Newegg free saver shipping, received it Wednesday. GTX 970m - More than enough power to run my games smoothly on high settings Room for expansion - 4 DDR4 Slots, 2 SATA III slots, 2 m.2 slots AC Wifi, Gigabit Ethernet All the ports you need (HDMI, 2x mini-DisplayPort, 4x USB)
Cons: Internal Battery - (would have preferred it be external) No quick access to HDD\Memory area (have to remove the entire bottom of the laptop, just 8-10 extra screws) Made in China (bottom of the laptop says this, but they advertise as a US company?)
Overall Review: This is a solid laptop. If I was going to build my own custom laptop, this is what it would look like. It feels like that's exactly what they did; took what users would truly want, and built it! (What a great idea...) First thing I did was pop my Samsung 950 pro in this thing. I had returned an ASUS laptop because of compatibility issues with it. This however had no problems at all. I was able to easily clone the SSD that came with it onto my new drive using Samsung's software. I then had to pull the original SSD to get it to boot from my new one. The original Eluktronics SSD I ended up deleting all the partitions (using a Linux box), and throwing it back in the laptop as extra storage. A was a little hesitant buying a brand I hadn't heard of, but after reviewing their products decided it was worth the chance. I'm glad I bought from them, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a real gaming laptop at the right price.
Dissapointed
Pros: Gigabit seems to work fine on it.
Cons: This switch seems to cause me problems when using it with fast ethernet aka 10/100. One of our servers would work for a little on it, but eventually we'd have to reset the network card on the server to get it to register an IP address again. Another terminal we had couldn't even get an IP address through this switch. After replacing this d-link with a netgear switch, we had no problem obtaining an IP address on the terminal. Both the server and terminal were not gigabit.
Overall Review: Haven't had any problems with the gigabit side of this switch, but it seems to be picky with older technology out there. At this point I really can't use it anymore since we have lots of hardware that uses Fast Ethernet instead of Gigabit.
Pros: Cheap, works just like it should.
Cons: Can't con it for being older technology. Works just as it was designed to.
Great Value TV
Pros: Picture is great on the TV, I was not disappointed at all! Even with the sun shining through the windows the picture was great and there wasn't enough glare to bother. Case is high gloss black, the TV looks very sleek.
Cons: I wasn't too excited about the sound quality, but that's what you get if you're buying a less expensive television, and that's why I gave it 4 eggs. Remote only has TV functionality and can't be used with other devices, again what do you expect.
Overall Review: Inputs ARE labeled, you just have to look in the right place to see them. Hooking up my surround sound through the Digital Coaxial Out took care of my sound issue. I got this TV while it was on sale for $300, probably one of the best deals out there.
