Pros: Burns blu ray, and bdxl
Cons: Shady advertisement misleads you into thinking that it burns m disks. It only reads it.
Other Thoughts: Since all dvd/blu ray drives current and old will play m disc, why the hell does lg advertise "m disc support?" It's like a tree salesman saying "But these trees support oxygen!" in an attempt to confuse and trick you into thinking you're buying the only tree in the world that creates oxygen.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Okay, I bought this monitor a week ago, and it is superb. No ghosting etc, super smooth.
Just look up my older review for the pros.
Cons: Okay now for the con, a BIG one. Okay maybe 2 if you include their non existant customer support.
I just decided to watch my first youtube vid a few days ago, and WHAT THE EFF man! The movie/video is dark! I tried all sorts of formats and they are all super dark!!
I was gaming for a week and so thats fine. Only the movies play really dark, if this is a feature, you DONT WANT IT! I even adjusted all the settings on the monitor.
I played movies on my old monitor and they never went dark. So I know it's some kind of stupid feature only for this monitor, makes movies unwatchable. Games/apps/web surfing isn't affected though.
Other Thoughts: Great for gaming, but if you ever want to watch youtube or any videos, go somewhere else. Why would they make a stupid feature to ruin such a great monitor?!!READ FULL REVIEW
-extremely adjustable stand, twist, raise, etc
-Smoothest motion I have ever seen. I have an asus vg278h 120hz monitor, and I thought that was smooth, but this benq blows it away in terms of smoothness. Just WOW.
-no dead pixels.
-Pretty cool touch panel.
Cons: Now for the cons:
-The panel adjustment is hard to navigate around. I still haven't figured out how to adjust hue and saturation, those options are greyed out, and I've looked online and in the manual and nobody can figure it out. I've changed profiles too.
-Related to the above, the color is too saturated. But several of the auto profiles seem to tone it down so I can live with it if I don't think about it too much.
-The blacks are not black enough. Black level adjustment, contrast, etc doesn't fix it. In dark scenes it is gray and that just annoys the hell out of me.
Other Thoughts: I'd think twice before ordering from newegg though, because the packaging is non-existant. Literally. They just slap a shipping label on the manufacture package, (which has a big fat picture of whats inside) and send it on its merry way. It's just shouting "Hey guys! Guys! Steal me!"
Overall there are some problems with the colors but I'm sure it just takes some getting used to. The blacks might take a while though. I mainly got it for the smooth 144hz and yes, it works as advertised. For the low price of $300, I do not regret this purchase, that much.
