spanks the 6990

EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 03G-P3-1584-AR
EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 03G-P3-1584-AR

Pros: faster than 6990 in most games I tested. high ram for dual monitors or for 40" plus screens. runs cool on average full graphics and it sits around 50-60c

Cons: price still a little high but cheaper than a 6990 wont make me breakfast, lunch or dinner and I cannot connect to the matrix yet.

Overall Review: well worth the money even if it's still steep. I run these in sli mode and the 6990 got spanked. gta4 full everything is around 50 fps 6990 21-32 fps. I also run the intel 2500k and it works well. bottom line if you have the money you wont regret it. It will be a steal once the money gets lower.

wouldn't purchase

Transcend 32GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model TS32GCF133
Transcend 32GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model TS32GCF133

Pros: the card came from newegg fast. pretty rainbow on the front

Cons: only reads 7.3 gb. transfer rate is slower than my sandisk 2 gb 20 mb flash disk. very disappointed. contacted newegg.

Overall Review: looking to see if people have the same issue or if I have a bad disk. Im sure the disk works as said if it's not a bad disk. But I wouldn't take a chance again.

price well worth performance

MSI Radeon HD 6990 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity R6990-4PD4GD5
MSI Radeon HD 6990 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity R6990-4PD4GD5

Pros: 4 gigs ddr5, demolishes gta4 solid 80 fps 1920x1080 maxed, hot but not much hotter than most cards with only 2 gb ram and one processor, photoshop cs5 runs smooth and call of duty black ops, bf2 runs over 60 fps with everything maxed at 1920x1080

Cons: wont cook me breakfast, big, money will shy most people away but if you look at the fact it uses less power than two 6970's and less space it makes sense.

Overall Review: you could get two 6970's for less and thats fine, my previous setup was two 5870's but I wanted one card this time and I wasn't impressed that the 5890 was two 5850's. Im glad they didn't make that mistake and opted for two big bad boys on a single pcb board. Msi has been a descent company for me even though I usually buy sapphire but with the afterburner I wanted to give MSI another shot. so far it's great. and the 3 year warranty is very nice as well.
