This review is from: EDIMAX EW-7722In N300 PCI Wireless Adapter
Pros: Cheap, very fast shipping, quick install, and the utility has some decent features. Decent sensitivity, can see the network over at our barn without any trouble.
Cons: Unfortunately, my connection freezes for a second every so often while playing games. It became a bit better after I let Windows find a driver for it (using a version 22.214.171.124 Ralink one) since the one from the disc and the one off their website were even worse with this problem. Using the utility that it recommends didn't help at all, so I'm using Windows to manage it. I'm planning on sticking it in my Endian to see if that will work, but I'm hesitant now because of the problem I'm getting at the moment.
I notice the data rate changing reasonably often, so I'm wondering if it's having trouble switching back down to a lower modulation after trying a higher one.
Other Thoughts: Fantastic if you aren't playing games or anything requiring a constant connection, such as browsing the web. If that's all you need, then by all means this would be a great buy!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Patriot Signature 64GB MicroSD Extended Capacity (Micro SDXC) Flash Card
Pros: Worked with my phone! (Motorola Razr M) It didn't say it was supported specifically but I'm enjoying the room for my music.
Cons: When formatted for the phone it only said 59GB. Disappointed with the -5GB space for music. It's not too big of a deal since more often than not I just mash "next" until I get to a song I want to sing along to.
Other Thoughts: Windows can't count, 63,350,767,616 bytes is not 59GB (also not 64GB), but it was formatted for the phone at this point. I'm not terribly concerned with the speed, since I'm stuck at USB2 speed. I don't have an actual SD card reader and use a USB adapter for it and it will be sitting in my phone storing music anyway.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Good signal, and very easy to use. The arm on it lets you maneuver it a fair bit, and it's pretty secure in the adapter, I have to actually use some effort to pull it out because of the rubber on it. Can also transmit on basically any frequency.
Cons: The arm gave out after about two months while I was out of the car, as if by magic. I came back to my car and it was hanging upside down. Apparently whatever is holding it in place came loose, and the screw had come out a bit causing it to fall over. I tried tightening it, but I guess the nut was out of position and the only way it would say is if it were to face my dashboard, which made using my Ipod a little difficult..
Other Thoughts: It works really well, but it seems to have some stability issues. I'm not sure why they decided a screw and nut would be sufficient to hold something in place, as it is designed to be able to swivel. They had to know it will come loose eventually.READ FULL REVIEW
