Pros: Fast and just keeps working
Cons: None
Overall Review: We have purchased 15 or so of these for use in a medical office. We have used Panasonic's as well in the past. These scanners just keep working day in and day out, the Panasonic's are fine, but seem to require more maintenance than these. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a solid scanner.
Horrible Interface
Pros: I like the built in integration with SkyDrive
Cons: A flat monotone user interface. For example simple things like the windows borders always being gray, even when the window is active, makes it very hard to distinguish if the Window is active in the foreground or not. The features seem fine, but the interface needs serious work. The flatness of it all reminds me of Office XP, but the lack of color to help differentiate things is mind boggling. I never realized how much I used color for navigation and subtile clues as to which windows were in focus and out of focus until it wasn't there then it took just a few minutes to realize the value of it. Why Microsoft didn't allow you to least choose the 2010 color scheme or the 2013 one is beyond me. I get some of what they did to Windows 8 because of tablets, touch screens and phones, but this makes NO sense to me what so ever.
Overall Review: Unless I can find a feature that I can't live without I think I am going back to Office 2010.
Breathed new life in to my laptop
Pros: Good price vs performance
Cons: None
Overall Review: After researching performance vs price this drive seemed to sit in that sweet spot of not crazy expensive with decent performance. Been very happy with the purchase. I installed it in my Dell D630 laptop (2GHz, 4GB, Windows 7 Pro) and the boot times went from 50 seconds down to 20 seconds. Well worth the money to extend the life of my laptop for another year or two. Replaced a 1 year old Seagate 7200 RPM drive. I am an IT professional (consultant) and use my laptop every day all day.
