Looks Nice

ASRock Z77 OC Formula LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock Z77 OC Formula LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: This is a very nice looking board with lots of doolollies, horns, bells and whistles. Very good quality. Lots of preset overclock settings. Lots of sensors for temp, voltage and fan monitoring.

Cons: The BIOS is hard to get used to. The overclock settings run the fans at full blast. A person can really get lost in the BIOS for hours with all the settings. It looses it's BIOS settings on occasion. Overall, I don't like it as much as one of the "budget" MSI Z77 boards I own.

Overall Review: This is my first Asrock board. I was drawn to this due to the good reviews on the internet. Usually I go with Gigabyte but they are so ugly these days. Maybe in time I will grow to like this board. I don't find it to be "easy". I would rather overclock using my own settings which one can do with this board but it feels cumbersome or ackward. I still give it 5 eggs due to the beautiful design!

MSI PERFORMANCE GAMING B350 GAMING PLUS AM4 AMD B350 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: PCI slots for my HT Omega Claro Halo, price and color scheme

Cons: The lights were on but nobody home! Not a peep or a beep, no post. Memory was on their "list" as was the Ryzen 5 2600. I was trying to use my old MSI R7870, maybe that was the culprit but I don't think so I am using the video card in another AMD rig right now. Very very disappointed

Overall Review: I am a Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic for a living. If I have to work this hard on a project, there is something wrong. I have been building systems over 15 years and this is very disappointing. So now where do I turn?

Rock Solid

MSI Z77 MPOWER LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
MSI Z77 MPOWER LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: Great looks. Well built. Many more pros.

Cons: Bios is a bit difficult to navigate but once one is used to it, it isn't too bad.

Overall Review: I have a i5 2500K in this board. Overclocks with great ease to 4.4GHz. I just run it a stock for power conservation purposes. I will not "upgrade" to Haswell or a 8 series motherboard, no need to.

Gets Job Done

MSI Z77A-G45 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
MSI Z77A-G45 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: Looks good. Nice easy to use BIOS.

Cons: No post beep code. Very picky about memory. Had a very hard time at first due to memory incompatibility.

Overall Review: Once I updated the BIOS, it seemed to be less sensitive to memory brand. This board have been rock solid using my 2500K running at 4GHz.

Very Reliable

GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: I have had this board for over a year now and have not had one single problem. Ran Phenom II X4 and now the X6 at 3.6GHz, mem at 1600GHz. Not memory sensitive but I am using Corsair memory intended for use with intel systems using extreme memory profiles.

Cons: There is only one con. The PCIe X16 slots are WAY too close together and hinders cooling of the top graphics card when running Crossfire in X16 mode. I have ran 2 5770s and 6850s in crossfire on a regular basis and notice the card in the main or top slot when looking at the case is running about 10 degrees warmer. Not too bag a deal unless you are on the edge of the thermal envelope.

Overall Review: I have all Gigabyte boards (4 now). 3 AMD and 1 Intel chipsets. None have givien me any quality issues but the Bulldozer lineup has been fickel. This platform has been much more stable than the "new" one from AMD. You folks know what I am talking about. I will keep this one in service for another year or so. Or until I feel like more compulsive spending and upgrade!

AMD FX-8120 - FX-Series Zambezi 8-Core 3.1 GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8120FRGUBOX

Pros: Nice box.

Cons: Do not buy this junk. I have been an AMD fan for quite some time. This is absolute junk. I don't care what you people think of my review. I can't even play a video off the internet without my system crashing.

Overall Review: They should be ashamed of themselves for putting something out like this.
