Green Drives in General

Pros: Green drives are inexpensive and for the ones who want some extra storage at a low cost and will not be running the system all the time.
Cons: Now if you actually use your computer and the rate of I/O is up there and the system is on 24/7 then the Green drives will fail, I have had Blues, Greens, Segate, Maxtor, Samsung and Hitachi drives all fail. However the drives I have noticed over the last 10 years with the highest fail rates are the Greens, then the Blues. This is an easy fix, JUST BUY BLACKS, they have a 5 year warranty and I have 8 of them in various systems and no failures yet, (all drives will fail) I also have 4 Red NAS drives and some AV drives, but have not had them long enough to see how they hold up, they transfer a little slower than the Caviar Blacks
Overall Review: Green/Blue Drives = Safety deposit box for storage and access once a year to make a backup of personal stuff. Black Drives = Everything else and actual computer use
