My old cable is a Belkin Pro Series  High Speed  IEEE 1264  compliant cable... is this compatible?

I'm not familiar with the particular brand & model you mentioned, but if you had it serving a parallel printer, then yes. I use this from my newer Win 7 pc (with no parallel port) USB to my old HP LaserJet 4P printer that I bought in 1994. It did not need any special drivers -- Windows recognized the printer via this cable and set itself up to work. It works fine.

Question 2

Have a HP LaserJet 4mp printer and would like to use it on newer computer using windows 7---New computer does not have any connections other than USB, is there a adapter and is there a driver for compatibility ?

I'm running 7 and have an HP Lazerjet 4MP. No problems w/ above cable. Did not have to do anything special.

Question 3

Looking for a converting cord to go from parallel to USB. The plug end for the parallel connection measures approx. 1" and has 2 rows of 13 connectors. Can't tell from internet pictures if this is the configuration of one of your converting cords.  This would be for use with a Citizen PN48 Notebook Printer (Model No. KB11-M01) to a laptop with USB port.  Can you help?  Thank you,

From what I am seeing about the Citizen portable printer that you have it looks to have a smaller parallel interface than this cable will connect to. This is a 36 pin connector, standard for normal sized printers of about 15 years of age and older. The connector on your Citizen notebook printer looks smaller than this and I believe this will not fit. Its possible they built it with a custom interface to make it smaller, since this is a travel printer from before the mainstream adoption of USB. The connector might be proprietary in that case. Its very likely that there may not be a USB adapter for this particular printer. It is also possible that even if such a cable existed that the operating system on your laptop might not be able to print to it, especially if its Windows Vista, 7, or 8. I would recommend purchasing a USB travel size printer to use with your USB-only laptop. Newegg has several to choose from at good prices. Good luck!

If this doesn't work, can I return it for a refund?

Yes, if you contact Newegg and explain the reason for the return of the product (within the stated return period) and upon approval of your request, Newegg  will issue an RMA number to process the return.  Don't send the product back until you request the RMA number.  In some instances, the return might need to be processed by the manufacture. I did this with a Kingston CF memory card when the batch number of the CF card I purchased from Newegg needed to be from a different batch number to support my specific device.  Kingston in that situation sent me the correct CF card with a return envelope for the original CF card that I had purchased.  Return processing with Newegg is very easy and stress free.  Just follow their required procedures and Newegg will take care of you.

Question 5

I have an HP laserjet 2100 PCL6 printer which I love and was still going strong when I ordered my Dell desktop Win 7 with no parallel port.  Wasn't thinking!!
So now am searching for a parallel to USB adapter cable which may work with it and a driver.  
I guess the adapter cable plugs into the end of the original printer cable.  The original cable has two rows of pins, 13 + 12.  For 25 total.  Is this information vital to selecting the right adapter cable?
Or does the adapter cable plug directly into the printer.  This port is a 36 pin centronics IEEE 1284 port.  Looking at the illustrations again, this seems more likely.
can you tell I'm new at this.
Can I find out if my printer is on a list of compliant printers with this cable.

Sabrent has a very, very, very short list of "approved printers" on their web site.  If your printer is not on the list, it won't take long to check, the list is did I mention short, Sabrent tech support will not even talk to you.  They were zero help to me.

Having said that I did get my laserjet 5 to work, although it took me a while.  However as of today, it is no longer working and I am in the process of trying to figure out if it is the cable, the printer or the computer.  I have another printer so I am not working on it right now.

The sabrent cable plugs into the printer directly.

You might consider adding a parallel port to the computer assuming there is an expansion slot available, that might work out better.  That is what we did at work for the same problem.
They are about the same price.

Question 6

does this cable come in a 10 or 12' length?

It is 12 inches which is much too long for my usage.  You must have a huge chassis to need this much cable.

Question 7

Will the Sabrent SBT-UPPC USB 2.0 TO PRINTER CONVERTER CABLE (6 FT) CENTRONICS (36-PIN) cable work with a Zebra Desk top Label printer?

As long as the printer has the centronix port, this cable works with it.  The real question is this.  Why are you switching to this cable?  Have you gotten a new computer, with W7 or W8, and there's no parallel port for your printer to connect?  If so, are printer drivers available for your O/S (operating system) version for this cable to work for you?

Check zebra's website and I think you'll find your drivers.

Otherwise, this cable works great.  It has really saved me on numerous occasions.
