Can this monitor be wall or bracket mounted ?

Yes, I bought one of these and received it this past Monday, Feb 3. I just looked and it has the standard 4 screw setup on the back to be wall mounted. I have used it this week and it is very responsive to the touch. I really bought it to install Windows 8 on the computer to which I hooked it up but haven't done that yet but it works with Windows 7 and all the internet sites for which I have tried it out.

This monitor works with Windows 7 and Windows 8, as well as Arch Linux (which probably means it will work with any other distro.  It does NOT work with Mac OS X or Windows XP.

On the OS's that it does work, you might want to configure the icons to be a little bit larger, and configure the menu fonts to be larger as well.  This will make these items a little more touch friendly.

Are there built-in speakers?

Yes, it does have integrated speakers behind the gray portion of the bezel at the bottom of the unit. It works great in my son's room which runs rasplex on a raspberry pi.

Do you have to have a special computer to have the touch work? Does any windows 7 work?

No. Just connect the USB cable to standard windows PC, install the software, and it should work fine.

What type of mounting does this unit offer?  We would be placing this on a wall.

It comes with no actual mounting hardware. You would have to buy this separate. We purchased two. One uses the kickstand that is built into the monitor which is capable and sturdy. The second is mounted to the wall by the Peerless-AV PA730 Articulating Arm For 10” to 22” LCD Screens (black) which we also purchased through Newegg - affordable and it works great.

The native resolution is 800 X 600 as measured with a digital
oscilloscope.

What is the actual size of the monitor?

20" monitor, 19.5" when u discard the black border around the screen (not the bezel).
but i think that is necessary for better touch' experience. so u can drag out the item on the edge of the screen.

I am using this monitor with Windows 7 and it works fine, including the touch screen function. I bought it to install Windows 8 but I haven't installed it on the computer yet

so if i have a mother board with only 1 spot for a VGH cord and I need a second monitor, will this one still work with it or will i need a different mother board?

The first monitor I received, the touch feature went out the first day. They replaced it right away. The second one waited till just after the 90 day warrantee expired and then it went out. I am not a happy camper.
