Yes it is a steam download which I was glad too have. All of my games are threw steam it's a great platform if you don't use it.
I love the game as well. Once your transaction completes about 20 minutes later you get your code and then can activate it threw steam's product activation process which is painless. Then it downloads. Take care.

what is the download size of this game? And can it be downloaded in Asia?

The installed game size on my PC is just over 10 GB so the download size should around that size.

As to the Asia question, it gives you a steam code to download the game so you'd download from there but not sure if this U.S. site will allow you to buy from Asia. They do not ship internationally but this really is not shipping anything as they just email a game code so it may be fine.
