What are the dimensions of the printer, width, depth, height?

It is about 20 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 16 inches tall. Yes, it is that deep. The duplexer sticks out on the back and I measured with the paper catch open all the way on the front.

It takes quite a large footprint but I am happy with it.

can this do two sided scan and copy ???

From the ADF, yes.  It will copy/convert two sided to singles, or copy/convert singles to two sided.  Or 1:1.  All automatic - once you've selected your setting, it pulls the document in and prepares/produces it.  I've had the printer since mid July and I should have purchased it sooner.  It replaced an HP5510 that was on it's last leg, along with an old laser workhorse.

The on-screen display is easy to read & use, the wireless setup was simple, and I'm still on the starter ink!  I went with the 8630 because of the 2nd output tray - I need both letter and legal - and that it came with a full set of ink after the starter.  The push over the plateau to buy was when I saw Newegg had it.

Good evening. My name is Leslie.  I am interested in the HP 8730 printer. I have a limited amount of space to accomodate it. Would tell me what the size of the footprints are? I am particularly concerned about the depth.

It needs about 20" of width.  The depth is the tricky part.  With the two-sided printer attachment plugged into the back, and the printed tray all the way open, it's about 2 feet deep.  But that's not really the footprint.  I have it sitting on top of a 19" deep filing cabinet.  The two-sided adapter hangs over the back a few inches and the tray hangs over the front a couple inches.  No problem.  If you can fit it on top of a desk or filing cabinet, you will LOVE this printer!
